Not an impressive list unless the Europeans are good

im intrigued by sharpe…he is big and clumsy but what a talent…Roy said he could be the best rebounder he ever had (of course after playing a few years)

See, that's why I never trust the rankings until we get closer to the draft. They always have these international guys nobody has heard of. Bad investment.

I've heard good things about Sharpe but he doesn't fill up the stat sheet so just like Kai Jones we're going of projections and potential instead of performance.

I wouldn't be mad at them taking Sharpe he is a Blueblood 6'11" 265lbs, but Ive seen two other guys play two years, start and dominate in the Big10, it's hard to not see and it's hard for me to put guys above them on potential and very limited minutes on the floor. Fools gold!? I don't know and nor did Cho.

When your GM says they need several guys at your position?! I'd rent, not buy.

Thanks for the update, i keeping to get back into the hornets and not with current news.

I loved both cravey and richards as 2nd round guys, odd to see the team already ready to add another rookie C...and view them as a need.

The NBA and NFL are tough jobs to keep.

Center is a weight class. If we get Kofi and another big along with Carey and Richards.

Teams play "small ball" out of necessity. Big athletes like Shaq with guys like Kobe, win titles.

Get BIG.

I'm starting to think FA is where we will add the bigs.. I don't see them drafting more young bigs.. I see (if we don't trade the pick) us getting a young wing player at 11..

If you see how expensive a free agent center that is any good costs, drafting a center that can play right away becomes the best bargain and advantage until his contract comes up if you pick a starter.

Long term, drafting one or more, if they can play, may be the cheapest and perhaps more rewarding if you make it to the playoffs a couple times before you have to pay center prices.

Well again just my opinion there isn't any C in this draft beyond Mobely that is day 1 ready to play... You're definitely not getting him at 11 and it generally takes 3 years to develop a big if he isn't top 5 pick  quality .. Which again nobody other then Mobley is that.. So if we want a starting C (which is a need now) we have to pay for or trade for 1... You are so excited about some of these guys but the truth is all but one Mobley will take years before they are a plus starter on a nba roster... That is reality...

Mobley is 7'0 210lbs wet. I'll get Kofi 7'0 285lbs and smash him.

Mobleys weight disadvantage will be HUGE against NBA centers.

He may we'll have to play PF to stay on the floor most nights.

Then that will be a bet you would lose.. Mobley is a perfect example of today's nba center.  He might have to get his weight up to get to his full potential.. But day 1 he is a problem on the offensive end for any C.. This Kofi thing you got is unhealthy.. He might develop into something in a few years but right now he doesn't have the skills to start in Greensboro.. He won't be drafted until late in the 2nd round and should really go back to school for Atleast another year... He isn't even in the same ballpark as Mobley talents...

Really, lol.

I'm correct about Kofi AND Garza. Let's just see who's NBA ready. Lol!

"Unhealthy" I focused on centers we can actually draft.

You're talking about a guy who's out of reach, even IF he gains enough weight to be a center night in night out in the NBA.

I could see that happening, especially if they don't resign Graham and/or Monk. Or if they trade Terry. Sure, they could put Hayward at the 2 spot like Batum or Paul George, but he might not play well there against faster 2 guards or if a team is running 2 point guards. Also, Mitch might not want to keep playing the Martins as much as JB does.

The X factor as stated in the Gelo thread is if they lose Monk the Ball Bros. would play the 1 and 2.

If they do that, they'll be fine, maybe better. LiAngelo can definitely shoot and he has an NBA body AND probably plays with/off Melo probably better than anybody on the roster.

Would adding instant chemistry in the backcourt be a good thing? Yes. Then Mitch could focus on Center, Center, Center in FA and the draft.

Haven't watched that video. If the third Ball brother doesn't shoot or play defense any better than his brothers, he would have to be a hard pass. The Hornets need scoring and defense instead of another ball handler.

He isn’t ready and wont be next year either but Isaiah Jackson is only 10 pounds lighter than Mobley and has serious upside especially defensively.  He feels like an obvious target IMO.

But yeah, both Mobley and Jackson need to bulk up.

    • 100%. And these same people will claim you have an agenda. You can't have it every way. We had the lowest rated defense in the league last year. Statistically the worst ever. By PFF grades (for whatever that's worth- but they are readily accepted, used, and conveyed by most "reputable" sources), the defense was the worst ever. Not only that, PFF rated our receiving corp the worst in football last season. The absolute worst... out of 32 teams. Which is why regardless of the lip service Canales and Morgan paid to the current guys, they knew it would be criminal not to give Bryce more help. People fixating on team stats and not taking these things into context are stupid, plain and simple, and I'm for one thankful they're not running this team (or probably anything for that matter bc they obviously can't discern reality. Again, going back to the eyeball test these Narrative Nancies seem to hate so much, did they not see the windows Bryce was putting balls into? Have the generally not watched much NFL? Please, please show me the film where all these NFL QBs are making throws like this to this point Bryce was "below average" down the stretch compared to them. Bryce made more wow throws in that 3 game stretch of the Bucs, Chiefs, and Eagles than every other QB combined in all the years since since Cam got hurt I genuinely am baffled by people that can watch throws like that and act like it's nothing. I guarantee you Steve Spagnola, Todd Bowles, and and Vic Fangio didn't think it was nothing after watching the little guy torch them with players those teams would be embarrassed to trot out at the skill position players. The national media spent all year making excuses for Mahomes not having elite weapons when he had multiple 1st & 2nd round talents at the skill positions along with future HoFers in Kelce and Hopkins. Bryce wasn't throwing for 300 yards every week with David Moore and Adam Theilen in spite of jaw dropping throws and you want to say the guy played below average. For those people, again, we ain't watching the same sport. And the name calling doesn't change that... The vitriol and projection... it's off the effing charts with these people.
    • "Well you see if you remove this terrible game that terrible game this other terrible game and then focus on these games you'll see he's actually one of the better QB's in the league and he's actually as good as Jayden Daniels". My god this place is delusional. I love it.
