2019 Draft, an "all time dud"?

Because Matt Rhule is here to win football games.

The only time I have ever seen an intentional on field tanking was the Eagles this past season. And we saw how that went. Lost the locker room and lost his job.

Coaches and players almost always want to win.

I don't know if you took a gander at the Jets roster this past season, but when Crowder is your #1 you're bold faced tanking.

It's rare though, I agree.

The book isn't written on the draft but the Little pick is a huge stain particularly since he required both our 2nd and 3rd round picks. Miller could be good; he only played his rookie year with minimal time on the field and flashed at times so can't judge that yet. Daley if he can actually get healthy, would be tremendous value in the 6th. So best case scenario, we could look back and say it was a mixed bag with 1 complete stud in the 1st and a couple decent role players on day 3 which would be a far cry from an all time dud. On the other hand, if Daley and Miller get cut this year or never really make it on the field for one reason or another, then yeah, it's up there in terms of all time Panthers badness.

    • They reached for Pickett, so they are not immune to it.  I could see that as well.  I just think the Colts are flying under the radar and they have been too quiet concerning their QB situation--of course, they could think Jones is their guy (they had a good one named Jones a long time ago) but I think they are done with the Richardson experiment.   Even if I believed in Jones, I would still draft a QB--I also read one mock that said the Jets would take Sanders if he falls to 7---I disagree, but I was once wrong and it still bothers me.
    • I just switched to prime video with fanduel south. Will I be able to watch the Canes playoff games still?
    • I mean, you can use that "logic," but the problem is that most practice squad players, backups or average guys don't put the play on film that Wharton did when given their opportunities.  Perhaps you'll end up right, but I don't think that just because a guy has been in a rotation makes him inherently less productive because he gets more snaps. I will say that the KC fans I've seen on social media loved him, and considered him their second best DT,  regardless of his "rotational" status, and generally considered him a dawg, so I'm going to give him the benefit of doubt until he shows otherwise.
