I hope after Rod called out the officiating that we are fired up Sunday. I don't want to give then any momentum.

Dunno if you got to see his interview but he said he didn’t tell his guys about his issues with the refs. But I think they are feeling it. Both teams are tired. The question is will the preds go Pekka. Rod basically nixed Slavin already but with Lajoie’s play last night I actually think that’s the least of our worries. I have no doubt we play Mrazek and honestly I think he’s  gonna be on point. If we can win Sunday and close this out in 5 that would be a huge win.

Yeah, I don't want this to stretch, especially with how Nashville is starting to lean goon on us.

Wow actually reversed a call for us. Sucks that the refs had to be called out in order to do their job right.

I doubt getting called out bothered them.  Game 3 gave Nashville a home win in front of their crowd, it means Carolina wont advance in Nashville and will most likely get to celebrate at home.

Thats just good TV scheduling bud.

celebrating at home or away doesn't really matter. It's been like this since the beginning of hockey playoffs.

Youre right in that it doesn't matter to the team.  They'd much rather have a sweep.  Bad officiating is extending series. Benefits somebody.

    • Yeah and he succeeded at an even higher level in LA with an even better surrounding cast. Goff is a guy that isn't really able to dramatically elevate players around him but he can make a good situation even better. He is capable of that. Some QB's aren't. I am not sure Dak is able to do that and he is in a similar "class" as Goff, IMO.
    • i think i could handle that for a year. beyond that....i don't know.  back where we lived, when we had a few inches of snow, it might have been a couple feet because we weren't getting out and doing anything. i remember times where power would go out for days on end. we had propane and electric heat, depending on the floor. basement (had a couple bedrooms and a living room and kitchen down there) and main floor had gas logs. main floor gas logs was enough to take care of the upstairs, so we could stay warm and cook on the grill when we needed. we had a well so that was always an issue when the power went out. had to make sure tubs were filled with water for the toilets and we had gallons of water for drinking and cooking available. always had to make sure we were ready. that wasn't always the case. we had a couple moments where we were going through propane quickly and because we were dealing with the worst propane company in the world (amerigas) they wouldn't get out to put gas in our 900 gallon tank. made for some nerve racking moments.  i know y'all were probably a lot more able to handle that kind of thing, but after the little bit (comparatively) that we got here i just have no desire to get trapped again. maybe for a day or two a year get snowed in and i'm good.
    • I think he is just drawing a DC to them line and that's about as far as his thought process went. It makes almost no sense outside of that. Also, it doesn't make sense for Pittsburgh or Seattle at this juncture either.  I think our "veteran" pool is basically gonna be the Dalton/Flacco tier or the "pick your poison" options of young busts(Jones/Z. Wilson) or wild, TO prone gunslingers(Darnold/Winston/etc). We have the option to pursue I genuinely believe(depending on the way the rest of this season goes), we either draft a QB in the top 10 or resign Dalton. Outlier third option on taking one of the wild gunslingers that Dave feels like he can work with.
