After learning of him this morning, I suspected Lano had a good chance. Now, if I only knew who the other kid is.

Looks like the two signed are plus athletes, in Donnerson’s case he seems to be a plus plus athlete.

Panthers signed S Delano Hill, formerly of the Seahawks

The Seahawks drafted Hill in the third round of the 2017 draft but he didn't start his first game until the 2018 season. After four years with the team, he had recorded 64 tackles and one pass defense. Back and hip injuries landed Hill on injured reserve in each of the past two seasons, further hampering his growth as a player. He'll be a project for the Panthers, who can afford to take some high-upside shots on defense.

Don't know much about him, but i like the Delano Hill signing. We needed more depth at safety, and that's a position where some experience is worth a lot. And a guy coming from Seattle which has had some pretty legendary DBs... suggests he's learned some good habits.

He should have competition.

Rhule was pretty adamant he wanted competition at every position, even the specialists. It would be absurd to have drafted competition for JJ and not have competition at kicker.

That said, there are more important positions to evaluate between now and camp. So for now I'm ok with just Slye, but expect that as there is future roster churn we'll bring back Ammendola or another K.

I like the Hill signing.  Fit knows the kid.  And our depth there sucks. 
 

I am gonna have to watch some film on the DE.  Nice athletic scores though.
