No Patriots pre season game-first time in a long time--we keep our sister team, the Steelers. 8 home games, 9 road games...Darnold's first pre season game at Indy--so we will not seen him until the 2nd---will the 2nd preseason game become like the former 3rd preseason game--with starters playing the most?

They should make both teams play 8 home games and the remaining game in Europe, Mexico, or Canada, for example.  No team should get an extra home game.

Late bye week should help, rather have it after the midpoint than before...

Could/should get wins over NYJ, HOU, PHI, NYG, ATL twice, ARI, WAS, MIA...

Can we split with both NO & TB? Can we stifle Cam’s return to BoA?

Doesn’t seem unreasonable, unrealistic, or unreachable... that’s 12-5 without trying to Homer some blind optimism...

maybe a little blind......

That was a hidden benefit of the 17 game schedule I hadn't really thought about. Half the league is going to get awarded an extra home game. That's a very real revenue boost and a small, but not insignificant performance advantage

12-5 prediction for a team that everyone on our schedule is going to be looking at that game as either a definite win or at least a potential win... yeah, maybe a little blind.

    • I find it more like now that I have been forced to watch Young so much it isn’t as much of a shock to my senses.   Desensitized they call it.   For real, it just looks normal almost now. Where the first game of 2023 I wasn’t sure what I was looking at it was so out of bounds for NFL type play. I literally couldn’t make sense of what I had seen vs Atlanta that first week.
    • Lynch in SF. Great is subjective but he has done pretty well there.
    • Sure, except Stroud has the ability to stretch the field with deep passes. He did that often last night with ease, but couldn’t connect on many due to being flustered by the defense. BY9 gets flustered and can’t throw screens, let alone even think about any deeper passes. Stroud would’ve changed the franchise and done more with the situation last year. My thought at least.    the hope is that last year showed tepper that he needed to step back from football decisions. There’s a positive in most situations and maybe we’ll see a new tepper in the near future.
