28 and I have (what appears to be) permanent loss of my sense of smell.

Been 4 months since. Low key kind of like it though no bad smells is pretty nice. But, it's wild how this stuff works.

Sorry to hear that.  Yeah, medical authorities are learning more all the time about the virus and its long term impact on individuals.  There is such a wide spectrum of responses, but by now, after more than 550,000 deaths, you'd hope people would appreciate that this virus is no joke.  It is constantly mutating and the longer that happens the more risk we run of it becoming more lethal and harder to contain.

It does not depend, really.  Football players owe any of us NOTHING.  This killed 500,000 people in the US and people are acting like it is some topic to debate because they think this is a religious or political event and not a medical crisis.  Now people think players should sacrifice their lives and the lives of their families and friends because they are misinformed and gullible?  I think any jouster in Europe in the 1600s was a puss because they did not compete during the bubonic plague.  Dumbassery at its finest here folks.  Your life, your choice.  Same damn people worried about losing their gun or speech rights think they have the right to tell others to risk their lives--just beyond hypocritical.  Damn people--it really is obvious.  No gray area.  Not six of one or half dozen of the other.  If you haven't grasped this yet, sue your elementary schools for malpractice.

Well said.

Hate to hear that ☹️

Could be useful if you find yourself in a "Blazing Saddles" situation though.

He’ll be out the NFL soon. A young guy that needed to prove and opted out last season.

He will catch on somewhere. I know his father Corey on a personal level for years and Christian is a hell of a good young man. He had his reasons for opting out and he felt he had to. He didn't want to but he had to. He has been working hard and looks in amazing shape. If he is gibrn a chance he will develop into a reliable piece of the equation and something even more will become a good light in the community as well as a role model to kids in the community just as Cam was when here. Make no mistake if he is cut he will go somewhere else and make a name for himself. He will be a hidden bonus we forgot about who becomes another great piece of the defense of he is kept. He has the mindset to be a great player for this team you just aren't aware of it and all you know is "He opted out" without having even the slightest clue why he felt he had to. He puts someone else above himself and was willing to put his entire dream on the line for others well being. I am no political tool who hangs off every piece of propaganda put in front of me on these absolutely ridiculous news stations and don't believe the virus was as bad as our "pals" at CNN said it was to push their own political agendas but the fact is this virus was a thing and a major risk to a small portion of the population. Christian had to do what he felt he had to do but you have ZERO idea of what he can or cannot do. He is more than you know he is and will catch on somewhere making a difference on Sundays if we cut him like it or not.

We know all we need to know on him based on the opt-out last season. I’ll be shocked if he’s on the roster or really anywhere in the NFL long-term.

Yeah we know he opted out yet you have ZERO clue why. We know all we need to know about you as well from your comment.

He seems to be injury prone but he has a lot of potential.  Glad to see he’ll be back.  I don’t blame any of these players for opting out and erring on the side of caution, we don’t know their family situation and what risk factors they or their families have.  Apparently he’s been staying in shape and is ready to roll this year, so that’s good enough for me.

Nice to me you Christian.

I'm not him and I figured your response would be something idiotic like that. I am a family friend is all. I thought it was cool when my favorite team drafted him due to the connection. You know nothing of his reasons and are negative on here with a hopeless outlook 90% of the time I see you post. Some subjects you may have reason behind and others you know absolutely nothing about. One of the rare and only inside pieces of info I have on the team is regarding Christian and I don't even have the full story just a small chunk told to me by someone who cares deeply for him. What will your newest doom and gloom post be for today?

i made a stupid comment and got educated. my bad guys.

I’m genuinely curious how it took a year and a half into the pandemic and a couple responses in this thread about the long term damage it causes some young people to realize that you had a shitty take? Aren’t you a nurse?

    • I'm still not touching Hunter He again said the other day that he plans on playing both sides of the ball in the NFL.  If he is allowed to do that, he won't be as good on either side as his potential and he's going to have serious injury issues and have a short career.  If he's not allowed to do it, I think he's going to become a problem when the team isn't winning as he's going to feel him not being used on both sides of the ball is why. He's being coddled in that environment with Deion and I think it's doing a disservice to him to prepare him for life in the NFL where your coach isn't a 2nd father to you, to where you can just walk into his locker room and steal his shoes like Hunter does to Deion.
    • He’s a tad behind them. Around 15ish of 32 starters in the league. He’s well ahead of a lot of guys. Tua, Bryce, Cousins (present), Rodgers (current), Devito/Jones, Minshew, Russ (current), Watson, Smith, Carr, T Laws deep ball is weak as poo IMO, there’s plenty. And it’s not like everyone is ripping 60+ers. The key component is if you can rip and maintain velocity of the 30-40 yarders which he does super well. Legit every report out there from Brugler to PFF to PFN document him as good/above average arm strength.  Eye test tells me it’s pretty much that as well, slightly above average.
    • 6-10 carries for  35-45 yds and 3-5 catches for 15-25 would be great.
