Jake Delhomme is playing out of his mind today

Cutler surrounded by Panthers offense > Delhomme

Perhaps in pure skill and potential, but the rumors about Cutler don't make me want to take him on as our QB. Plus, he's been playing pretty poorly in Chicago. I don't know... he's a good QB, but I'm not sure how good a leader he is... which is kinda the opposite of Jake, heh.

Not too shabby. Did he has any ratings that were higher than that this season?

His next two highest games were against Washington and the last game against Atlanta this season. Both at 82.2.

Edit: Scratch that. His next highest game was Arizona. 94.3. Then those two games.

nowhere close, he was ranked in bottom 5 of starting QB's going into today.

The rating can be miss leading though, the Az game(7 for 14 passing) he had a good passer rating somehow. INT's kills that rating.

Cutler isn't a leader, and He doesn't inspire his teammates to play better.

Stop with the Cutler suggestions. He is nothing but a joke.

All the talent in the world, but not enough leader to do anything with it. Quite sad.

Word. Cutler is a good QB, but he doesn't have the heart & leadership a QB should have beside a good arm. He kinda quite screw himself up with not forgiving Denver & went to Chicago, where Denver are playing better now than Chicago. Honestly, I would've taken him if he has the maturity like Jake & play little more better than he is right now.

Cutler's diabetes medicine side effects may be effecting his moods. that is one of the side effects.

In Chicago his best WR is a CB though. I imagine he could do pretty well with Smith and our running game. but agree he's a prick overall.

the big question is finding a QB that can win a superbowl for us, Jake can't barring a fluke

Cutler=Jeff George 2.0. Looks pretty throwing the ball, but gets in trouble because he thinks his arm is strong enough to beat any coverage, and he does not play well with others.

Anyway, it's nice to see Delhomme doing well. I can admit that he had a bad first half of the season just like anybody else can. The difference is that I didn't give up on the season, blame Delhomme for things that weren't even his fault, or assume that his career was over because he had a couple of bad games. Players go through slumps...it happens.

Jake can't win a Superbowl for us? I thought the team is the one that win for us, not just a QB. Beside, are you saying Jake was a fluke during our Superbowl season? Especially when we were almost close to winning against a tough Patriots team it if we has time or Kasay didn't miss the field goal kick? I guess Trent Dilfer is a better QB than Jake with winning a Superbowl.

2003 was a long time ago, and yes Jake made alot of dangerous passes that season that weren't picked off but could've been.

How many teams win Superbowls with Mediocre(currently well below avg) QB's? its rare when it happens, certainly dynasties aren't born with a Mediocre to Below Average QB like Jake.

They should've found a replacement once Tommy Johns hit, as it stands we have nothing but a guy that plays a few good games a season, several horrible games and the rest Avg. Overshadowed by a great running game and Steve Smith

I thought he played decent during what I saw. There was an overthrow of a wideopen Smitty but maybe Smitty pulled up and the route called for a fly.

once he attempted to pass to Stewart, sailed it over his head and outreached arms but got lucky and it hit Rosario(?), but he was short of first down. lucky it wasn't picked.

He still needs to put up games like this going on forward, though. I just hope that pass protection will hold up even after losing Gross.
