He can force their hand as much as they can force any potential trade partners.

Rodgers is under contract.   They drafted a first round QB last year.   

They most certainly can demand a poo load from any team that Rodgers wants to run to.    And teams will do it.  They already prepared last draft to move on from him.   They don't have to just deal him because Rodgers wants out for just whatever someone is willing to offer.  They can easily tell Rodgers and other teams to kick rocks and have time to play that game.

If they don't trade him he can just retire and run Jeopardy. They are likely very motivated to trade if this isn't about egos (which knowing men and the NFL it probably is)
