The funny thing about that is that spaghetti with meatballs is actually American. They don't do that in Italy. Italians have ragù which is a meat sauce and they use many different types of meat, usually wild like boar, hare, pheasant and deer. If you ever visit Italy, and especially the region of Tuscany, I highly recommend you try any pasta with ragù di cinghiale (boar). It will knock your socks off.
