I think after Smitty, Jakes and Moose's frustration with the way the passing game was castrated last week there was a come to Jesus meeting with the coaches. The only reason Jake is still QB is his experience. This week they let him use it by checking into pass or run at the line.

Jake's performance hinged on Jake.

If Jake is off, you can tell right away. Same if he is "on". So what the coaching staff has to do is recognize which Jake is showing up and play call for that Jake.

I hope this is the reason Jake is playing so much better today. Let him make call that suit him & give him a chance to throw some. Sure there will be risk of throwing an INT. if you throw, but then that is all part of being a QB.

Seems to me that by using the no-huddle they let Jake call the plays. Maybe that is why it worked so well.

Fox should get rid of Rip as the QB coach. Let Jake be his own QB coach.
