He will be 30 this year.   I'd rather just draft a RB in the later rounds.

I'm in favor of doing that in addition to signing a vet RB. Not only insurance for CMC but allows CMC to be more versatile lining up in different places.

We know that besides trying to trade for Bernard, we also tried to sign Chris Carson.

It sure sounds like the team has an interest in putting a veteran runningback behind McCaffrey.

Team knows they need depth behind McCaffrey. I wouldn't be surprised to see Bernard sign here. He went to UNC so there's a Carolina connection too.

Wow.  Time has flown...  it seems like it was just yesterday that he took over that game versus State and ran back that punt for a TD.  I know he's had a few injuries, but he has produced when given the touches...  I feel like Cincy always underutilized him.

I wouldn't mind bringing him in, but being he's a 30 yo RB, I wouldn't bank on him being around after camp, and if he is then that would be a welcomed bonus.

I saw this on the news ticker and knew him being a Chapel Hill guy. He's from Florida though. Let one of those teams have him. Rhule said he wanted to get younger on offense and I agree with that.

Bengals beat writer mentioned that his dad doesn't like traveling to games so playing in Miami where his family lives has some appeal to him.

    • Did I miss something?  The people we have developing players now are not the ones we've had in the past so I don't know what the heck people are talking about when they say we are not good at developing players right now.  We only have one year to go on.  Canales likes young players or players who are on an upward trajectory, especially in FA this year.  Past QB's and what he's done with Bryce are good examples. Tershawn Wharton - 26 Tre'von Moehrig - 25 Pat Jones II - 26 Bobby Brown III - 24 Michael Jackson - 28 Jaycee Horn - 25 Tommy Tremble - 24 We missed on Milton Williams but he's 26. Everyone else we picked up are on 1 year deals.  The Panthers new front office and Canales absolutely scream developmental team. Pick 8 (stay) Tier 1 Elite - Abdul Carter, Travis Hunter and Mason Graham Tier 2 Elite - Jalon Walker, Mykel Williams, Will Johnson Trade down: There are quite a few really good players that fit us at Edge, DT, S and WR mid to late 1st and high 2nd.  Some combos that would be possible that I really like.  Imagine getting 2 of these guys by trading down. Stark, Pierce Jr, Golden, Scourton, Grant, Emmanwori, Ezeiruaku, Umanmielen, Deone Walker, Harmon and this is just off the top of my head.
    • Honestly, I couod see Pittsburgh  moving all the way to 3 to get Sanders. Their window is now and Tomlin  clock is ticking. Their roster doesn't have many holes, so picks shouldn't worry them.  Depends on the Giants mindset but they could bend them over and get future 1st since they don't have any 2nds.
    • I sometimes question why the mention height when most edge defenders are around 6'2.   Maybe it's bc he was a senior and then are nitpicking.
