To all you Karen's and Nancy's, Darnold will be the best trade in Panthers history! Yes better than Olsen

hurney is terrible and if he had traded away a second round pick (plus more, haha) for lolnold this place would be collectively howling for blood. because man-bib thinks something something moxie something, it's all good though.

I'm excited. A 2nd rounder is nothing for a guy as talented as he is. I've said it before but Darnold was my preferred option considering the others being

1) Trade peanuts for Darnold, a guy who teams were planning on tanking for just a few years ago.

2) Trade multiple first round picks plus stud players for Deshaun Watson, a guy who is constantly injured and has a massive cap hit.

3) Trade multiple first round picks just to pick from the scraps of this years draft.

Darnold is the clear smart move in this case.

I am of the opinion it's a trade that allows us to continue to build our team in thus years draft.

I'm glad they didn't give up a 3rd this year.

Well, they obviously feel that there are players in this year's draft at positions that may make more of an impact upon the team than next year's draft. They know what they're doing. Now me, looking on the outside in and considering the bigger picture, I kinda feel that a second is a second! There will be someone in next year's draft that we may like but won't get, unless we keep robbing Peter to pay Paul (so to speak) from year to year.

Let's revisit this conversation at the end of 2021. 😉

Well you have 45 rep on your current account. I’m basing this theory on the numbers. Good luck to you.

Lmfao you really just commented on someone’s rep on a message board.  I’ve seen it all..I don’t post often, I have something called a life.

All the rep in the world won’t make Darnold a good QB.  I live in NJ, I watch the Jets often, I’ve seen Darnold in person often.  I don’t know what else you need to hear, he’s garbage.  You have probably seen like one Jets game your entire life.

I'm really tired of all the negativity and I don't know why. So we let go of Obada. Big Deal. We got Reddick now. So we let go of Kerr. We have Fox now who has better stats. Our OL depth was non-existent beforehand and now we've added some. Our LB depth was also bad and we've helped that area. Really the only big loss is Samuel who we can replace.

I think all of the hate is due to the disappointment that we didn't trade for Watson. What would you guys have liked for us to do? Go ahead and traded for him anyway while he's under investigation? Then we actually would have to deal with Teddy for another year. We just traded for a young QB with about the same potential and age as the top QBs in this current draft. I don't see the problem here.

Yes. Because it tells me you are a sh*t posting alt account and therefore your opinion means less than nothing on here to me. Good luck this season.

The moves before today were fine. Darnold move jumped the gun before the draft, given up more than fair value in terms of picks and he is more than likely damaged goods at this point.

Sorry that I’m just more knowledgeable about the sport than you.  I guess everyone who you don’t agree with is an alt account, good way to show you have anything of substance to add.  Instead of telling me why Darnold will actually succeed here when he’s been trash, you do the equivalent of telling mommy someone’s picking on you on the internet.  LOL and alt account, who has time for that!

the only high pick was a 2nd next year. The others were a 4th and 6th. That is actually fair and most likely better than giving up much more to move up in the draft to get a guy that has the same potential and around the same age.

    • I think a lot of wrs are going to go in the second round before we pick.  There are a lot of wr needy teams.  I think there will be a big run on them in the late 30s and 40s.
    • Interesting that they met with Walker three times and Cam Jackson twice.
