I'm fine with this. Watson is probably done for a while and we aren't getting a top QB in the draft. This was a pretty good price all things considered.

We just got bent over the table by one of the worst ran teams in sports and they’ll take the player we should’ve had (sans the bridgewater signing) and finally turn their team around

We’ll see. A 2022 2nd is the hard pick to stomach but not a bad get. So Teddy will be released J1 or traded. 
 

Question is now if a trade down is in the cards to make up for the overcompensation or if we decide to finally get an LT in Slater or Sewell.

If the 2nd rounder for 2022 was removed from the deal I'd be okay with it but that's looking like a relatively high 2nd rounder with Darnold at the helm.

If he works out, what's wrong with it? Nothing. Former Top 5 pick playing with the Jets who thought that hiring Adam Gase was a good idea. You saw what happened when Tannehill finally got out from under him right?

If anything, the picks are worth the development time either way. 

I prefer Darnold to everyone in this draft not named Trevor Lawrence.

I’m not a huge Darnold fan but this is a very low price to give up. 

Ya’ll overvaluing picks hard. Plus we’re gonna have soooo much cap space to compensate for whatever picks we don’t have.
