What are we doing in the draft?

Who do you expect or hear is talking to the Jets about Sam Darnold? I am interested because that would rule out one team trying to trade up.

I'm not 100% they take a QB. I am also not sure they don't want to keep both QBs.

I don’t like a CB at #8.   Too many just flat out better players likely will be there to let need dictate the 8 like that IMO.

There are two CBs that would justify a top 10 pick IMO

It depends. If Sewell or Slater are there at 8 and all the QBs gone I wouldn't want to trade down. If the top guys are gone already then sure trade back.

It’d be very hard to be upset with fields at 8

Aside from that trading down and filling out the roster then trading for a qb later on(darnold or “someone else”) would be a good plan of attack as well imo

If we for some crazy/insane reason don't do everything we can to get a QB, I would assume it would have to be Sewell or Slater.

But in the scenario given 5 QBs get drafted before our pick, right?   Chase, Pitts, Sewell, etc all on the board?  I just think they are in a slightly different tier.   It’s not that I don’t like Surtain though.

Also Verge, when you say trade to 6 to get ahead of the Football team and the Broncos... are you not expecting either of those teams to try to trade up with Atlanta or would that cost too much, conversely Atlanta may not want to trade with Pitts sitting there? I know for a fact with Arthur Smith there he will want Pitts. He loves using the TE in his offense and Pitts is different. (They've also talked to him multiple times.)

Don’t think Atlanta is going to want to trade down at all and risk losing out on Pitts

ATL could certainly trade down, just not to us lol
