Care to elaborate in what manner you find it amusing?

I was agreeing with you. It seems like Jake supporters don't want to believe how bad our situation is. I just thought it was amusing panthers55 is so vocal on defending Jake/Fox/w-e. I'm curious to know your viewpoint on our team panthers55.

Sorry...no link Jangler. More like my opinion on those three. Getting rid of those three will be a big uplift for our franchise.

Only fact that matters is the Panthers are 3-5; projected out, yet again, 6-10 against a more difficult schedule, and in fact, lost to the Bills.

From what I see, when they need to pass effectively to win a game, they either can't or won't or fail. Blame the recievers, blame the o-line, blame the OC, sooner or later, the pointing goes to the Commander in Chief, the head coach.

For me, I don't really care whose fault it is anymore. I just know the common denominator of the issue. Coordinators change, players change, Fox is still here.

Personally, and I take no joy in saying it, I hope he isn't after this year.

And facts can be interpreted any way you want also. What do you make of the fact that we have only run the ball 20 times more than we have passed through 8 games which is very similar to the mix of last season when he obviously trusted Jake? Obviously the passes are shorter and less vertical than last year but if he doesn't trust Jake then why let him throw 30 times against New Orleans?

Want another fact. Last year Jake threw the ball 414 times. So far through 8 games this year he has thrown it 221 times which puts him on target for 442 times if he stays on this pace. Strange for a quarterback he has lost complete faith in. Or maybe he knows we win when the Panthers only throw 20 -25 times a game.

That's nice, but it still doesn't account for the fact that we should have tried to score a TD before the end of the half. The reason that we didn't is one of two things (or both):

1. Fox didn't trust Jake

2. Fox Ball

Either way, it sucks. Defend it all you like. Like you say, stats can be manipulated, but the facts on the field and on the sidelines speak for themselves in reference to being able to make fundamental football decisions and adjustments during the game (like this "throw 20-25 times and we win business)."

While you're steadily defending Jake, many experts around the league, much less Panthers fans, will tell you that he is the main reason why we suck right now, and that a change is needed. That's not stats, it's just a fact. Spare me the Jake (Fox) is our best option B.S. The time has come to get off the crapper.

I think our team is playing poorly especially on offense. Jake is not playing well, Smitty is not playing with his normal fire and our line is pretty poor in pass protection. Davidson is not calling good games and neither of them know how to adjust or gameplan.

Our defense is actually starting to play well after starting very slowly which I predicted. Above all we are not making the half dozen plays this year that we were last year which is what differentiated us from a 6-2 team to a 3-5 team this year.

Our situation isn't good but not as terminal as people complain. I am going to take each game as it comes and hope we can do well for the second half. I have no idea if we will or how that will affect the seaso or the coaches. That is all fodder for after the season.

What is good? Our running game is pretty good, Barnidge is shaping up to be what I thought he would be and our defense is playing pretty well.

I dont defend Jake just report what happens. The facts are he played better against Arizona and New Orleans. If that is defending him, so be it.

I was also one of the first on here to complain about Davidson's playcalling so I have no idea where you get your opinions about what I believe. For what it is worth people who believe that singling out one player as the cause of our problems are as stupid as the so called experts who would expouse that. Frankly I can find no credible source that would be so simplistic to blame all of our issues on our quarterback. I would believe a guy like Adam Schein might say that, but he is far from an expert.

You are the ones who always talks about show me some facts, intellectual conversation, stats etc. I gave them to you, now I'm baiting.........yeah ok.

Seeing with one eye closed, or turning a blind eye to the obvious is not what Eternal Optimist means.

You pointed out stats true. You did not indicate an interpretation. When I asked for it, this is what you write. i'm still waiting...............

My interpretation is always going to differ from yours.....so what does it matter?

You can wait all you want, what my views are will not change unless the organization does, or unless you and your lopsided views do.

Also....if you can't see how I interpret things concerning this team by now......you've got a serious problem to continue to argue over "my interpretations."

You also don't dictate to me what to write, or not write to appease you. Got it?
