Wide Reciever

My thinking is that we sign a veteran wide receiver in free agency, then draft one or possibly two; I would only want to risk drafting Mike Williams if we drafted/signed another receiver earlier. My reasoning is that he will possibly be a 3rd-5th round pick, but we never know considering he may test very well and the scouts may see explosive ability on film, leading a team to take him in the 2nd round.

Kevin Walter is a guy I think we should target in fee agency; he would be capable of starting. Then, another WR capable of working out of the slot, or being a deep threat, would be ideal. A WR who can handle punt or KO-return duties would be nice, as well, but a CB like Kyle Wilson could also be good in that role. Anything to help special teams.

Another thing, I wouldnt be opposed to us selecting a QB, WR, DE, DT, or CB with our top pick, considering who leaves and comes in FA. We should take the best available player at any of those spots, especially in a draft like this.

I would like Riley Cooper out of Florida. He has only been really productive this year (his senior year) but he was also behind Percy Harvin and that guy who is the Raider's leading receiver now. I can't remember his name. Cooper is 6'3" 210lbs and runs a 4.47 forty. He's a smart receiver and he has pretty good ball skills. I'll be there somewhere in the 2nd or 3rd.

I also like Jordan Shipley out of Texas. This guy is a beast and he returns kicks.

another guy i am hearing good stuff about is Dezmon Briscoe..from Kansas

isnt he a jr? he has been great in that spread system kansas runs. started i think as a true freshman and was impressive then. big kid too. i saw him in the orange bowl as a freshman where he impressed against a good defense (2 nlf caliber dbs worth a damn in flowers and harris). very under rated imo, but like so many other wrs, people will judge him on the 40 time he runs as he isnt a guy many have seen.

i also like reesing for a wco, but he is just too damn small to see over a nfl line. sucks too, as he is a baller in the spread, as good as chase daniels was or imo mccoy. he doesnt have the same tallent at wr as those 2(no macklin or shipley) or a defense worth a damn that can hold a lead.

your thinking of the speedy louis murphy, a guy who's speed made al davis fall in love.

ps, i really like cooper as a developemental type. like you said very limited playing time, but has prototypical size and good but not elite speed. blocks well to boot.

Jordan Shipley, Damien Williams (he probably wont come out now with his high ankle sprain), Dez Bryant (we have 0 shot unless GM's are worried about his NCAA problems), Dezmon Briscoe, Mardy Gilyard, James Rodgers (again, if he comes out) and Jacoby Ford.

Potential UDFA with great Size/Speed ratio, WR Kelton Tindal, Newberry.

According to multiple sources, the 6'2 197 lbs Newberry College receiver Kelton Tindal thoroughly impressed NFL scouts by clocking as low as the 4.22-4.24 range at the Junior Pro day. Coaches state he clocked as low as 4.19 in the 40 while in preperation.

“I think with some training and better conditions I could run a 4.15.” said Tindal. “If I could run on a track with track shoes I believe I could clock in the low 4.1s.”

Last year he had 1,461 yards and 12 TD's .

$5 raiders select him in the 1st 3 rounds. hell with those numbers al davis may trade his entire draft to get the #1 overall to take him.
