Evidently you do. That same workload has been driving revenue growth.

It's really odd how many fans side with the billionaires. How have you been convinced that you're in the good old boys club? LOL!

Siding with over paid men whom.play a game is any better?

I don't side with either based on income. That would be a stupid bias.

Players been playing 17 games worth of snaps for years now, plus if you reach the playoffs its more games so well. I'll start with the pre-season first- 1st game starters play about one quarter +, 2nd game the same, 3rd (most times) full half+, and 4th game a couple of series. +/- depending on teams and some elite starters dont play at all or none of the 4th. Add all that up its over a games snaps.

If you have a deep playoff run, thats at least 3-4 more games. Ugh.....the patriots had a 10 year run in which certain players had a full season more than other team/players. That was a inside joke during that time with them, signing a pats contract came with taking less cause contracts length didnt include playoff games(certain bonuses do, not high amounts tho).

Yep, some players value rings and wins more than money.  I mean really, does anyone think players that traditionally signed with the Brown, Jets and Lions (for example) did it for their winning culture and Super Bowl runs?  Nope, but they sure didn't mind dipping into those deep cap pools that teams like the Browns and Jets are typically flush with and consequently got handsome salaries.

I dont blame players for taking the big money, bank account > maybe playoffs. Besides the top level players, not big difference if the 3rd string Center is a superbowl winner. Nice to be called that the rest of your life, but superbowl rings dont pay bills/taxes. Unless you can guarantee me a superbowl win in the contract, Im going take the bigger contract.... Other factors, but cash rules everything around me! Still if my family didnt want to move and I felt/believe theres a real shot ANDDD the money was close.... Id stay.....

Kamara never sounds like the most educated fellow when he is interviewed. I hope he saves his money well for when he is done playing as he does not strike me as a brilliant business mind at all.

This take is so awful I'm siding with a Saints player. Please change and evolve.

They shortened the preseason. You don't think that's a good trade-off. They were probably useless anyway, granted we'll never know how much. I guess some fringe players might be affected, but how many times do they end up playing, much less effecting the game, anyway?

Not really.

Preseason is a glorified practice. The starters play a little and then guys trying to make the team play the rest.

The league's been pushing for 18 games while at the same time saying they care about player safety. If that doesn't say "full of sh-t" I don't know what does.

Kamara isn't alone. Most players hate the idea.

Hell, I hate the idea too.

The key is not whether fans hate it. NFl doesn’t care one bit if you or I hate it. They care about  whether or not we will watch it.  If the answer is yea ( and it is yea) then there are millions of reasons for them to do it.

Haha! You are so right, I should "evolve" and not notice when someone sounds like a complete idiot each time they are interviewed or each time they type on social media. I should have mentioned how intelligent Kamara sounds to fit your personal agenda.

Anyone know what will be the schedule formula to determine that extra opponent?  The 16 game schedule makes perfect sense and feels even and balanced:

6 division games

4 NFC division games

4 AFC division games

2 NFC games against other two division's teams who finished in the same place previous season

1 ???

An extra intra-conference match up.  We would play the Texans this year.  Then the schedule rotates divisions.  I think the team is determined by the same place finish.  The Texans and Panthers finished 3rd in their respective divisions.

FYI, this sets up perfectly for an 18 game season down the road.  It would be one more intra-conference team being from the only division not on the schedule, just finished playing or scheduled to play the following season.  So If that were the case, the Panthers 18th opponent would be the same place finishing team form the AFC North.  We just played the AFC West, our 17th game is versus the AFC South and are playing the AFC East this year.
