If The Falcons don't take a QB, do we trade up to 5 with Cincy?

So if the Falcons go all in on Matty Rice, and either Fields or Lance is available at 5, Do the Panthers trade up to 5 to guarantee they get one of them?

4th best QB in the draft would be a better option than Teddy.

Maybe, but Teddy is already a sunk cost. Do not want to have to give up multiple picks and hope it pans out. If it happens I will support it but I doubt I like it.

I don’t think Trey Lance and Joe Brady are a fit.  

we will need a new scheme if people want to see Trey Lance this year.

It would cost us our second round pick plus a bit more to move up those three spots.  If we like the guy, it may be worth it.

List seems to be leaving off Josh Allen, Lamar Jackson, Patrick Mahomes, and Deshaun Wat-... I mean before this whole kerfuffle the trade up was legit. 

Regardless, 4 QB's all Pro Bowlers/MVPs that were traded up for, and none were the #1 QB taken in their draft.

Rumor has it, the the Niners already tried trading up with the Falcons and they declined their offers.  I'm guess the falcons don't want to trade, they might be dead set on a player already.

The scenario requires not only that the Falcons don't take a quarterback, but they also don't trade the pick to someone who will.

Wouldn't hurt my feeling to go with Lance over Brady.
