There is literally no way in hell the Jets stay at 2 and take anything other than a QB, they'll get far too good of offers to keep the pick and take a non QB

That's my thought too. I'm sure they had a discussion with the 49ers. They want more... or they're drafting Wilson.

It's not hard to see how this plays out, it means we either don't get a QB in this draft, we take Jones at 8, or we give up a STUPID ransom to get the second pick.

As the Falcons just aren't going to trade the 4th pick within the division to give us a potential franchise QB, they'll trade it to someone else for less of a return to make sure that doesn't happen as that's what would be best for their own team moving forward over getting a tiny bit more value from us.

I mostly agree with this. I disagree in that I think it’s at least possible the Falcons trade to us if it’s the best offer they get. Basically we are looking at trading for a QB at 2 or 4. Taking a positional player at 8. Or taking Jones at 8. Perhaps we can Seattle about Russ and see if he comes here.

Curious to know if any of these folks screaming that they won't watch if Bridgewater is starting will make good on their word. 👀

Hard to blame them but it's an individual choice.

Just because you choose to hitch your wagon to the definition of mediocre because you don't want to admit you were wrong doesn't make you the arbiter of Carolina Panthers fanhood.

ZACH WILSONQB, COLLEGE PLAYER

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports the Eagles were interested to trading up to No. 3 overall, but only for BYU QB Zach Wilson.

In other words, the Jets are locked in at Wilson at No. 2. After their designs on No. 3 were thwarted, the Eagles instead moved down to No. 12, getting a 2022 first-rounder from the Dolphins for the price of sliding only six spots. With Wilson seemingly the guy at No. 2, it would seem North Dakota State QB Trey Lance is the 49ers' most likely target at No. 3.
