Go on record. Who still wants Watson?

Sure means you have zero doubt. Basically what you are asserting is a fact. You leave no room for other possibilities.

I would go off the evidence available.

I would not convict anyone on some he said she said.

Gotta be something more.

There is an old saying. Goes like i'd rather 100 criminals walk free than convict and imprison 1 innocent man.

Here's the thing: Sometimes, there's not.

And no, there doesn't have to be, especially when the men in question are careful.

Again, here's hoping if you ever have a wife or a daughter or anyone who suffers something of this sort, you learn to grow up a little bit.

Yea, and in those cases you gotta let the people walk.

Because if you don't, you are going to convict innocent people.

Blackstone's ratio.

It sucks when bad guys get to walk, but it's even worse when an innocent man is convicted.

I agree Mr Scot. My issue is the number of complaints that happen well after the fact, as if to simply pile on to something you condoned at the time. I honestly think Watson has issues, but this just seems like character assassination.

As I and others have said, when you actually know someone who's been a victim of something like this, you're not surprised by that at all.

Justice for cases of sexual assault is extremely difficult even under simple circumstances, and the circumstances around Watson are anything but simple.

If you ever have a chance to talk to an actual victim, you learn that the way a man thinks about stuff like this is often completely off the mark.

Ah, but again, we're talking about civil cases here.

The only requirement to win a civil case is to be more believable.

Your standards of "won't believe it unless there's video / audio / whatever" wouldn't even stand up in a criminal court, much less a civil one.

Like I said, every rapist who goes to court hopes they get someone like you in the jury.

You're part of the problem.

Talking to victims doesn't change the facts

1) Waiting to report will only decrease the chance the criminal is brought to justice as it hinders the investigation.

2) Waiting to report doesn't help in the eye's of public opinion.

3) Only filing a civil suit doesn't help in the eyes of public opinion.

None of this means the person is lying or wasn't sexually assaulted.

None of this means we should not be supportive and comfort the alleged victims.

I am not condoning Watson’s behavior. Is he a predator? It is starting to look that way. Why did they wait until now to come forward. Specifically, after the NFL season and when he is requesting a trade. It is suspicious at the least. BTW I have 3 daughters myself, it’s not that I don’t understand.

Sounds like Buzbee might not have enough proof.  Now he said Watson deleted all Instagram messages and tried to settle behind the scene.  Watson lawyer says both are false.  Watson did not delete a single message once lawsuit was filed.

A new lawsuit against Deshaun Watson alleges the Houston quarterback has "unsent" Instagram messages to massage therapists he allegedly sexually assaulted.

There are now 21 lawsuits filed against Watson for sexual misconduct against massage therapists, many of whom he contacted through Instagram. Attorney Tony Buzbee, who represents the women suing Watson, said Sunday night that Watson was deleting Instagram messages and contacting the women "who formally provided him massages, in an attempt to settle" those cases, ESPN reports. Watson, through his attorney, denied both allegations. "Like a lot of people, Deshaun regularly deletes past Instagram messages," said Rusty Hardin, Watson's lawyer. "That said, he has not deleted any messages since March 15th, the day before the first lawsuit was filed." Buzbee said in a Tuesday Instagram post that he "doesn't feel comfortable going to the Houston Police Department" with information, according to ESPN. Buzbee said he and his clients "will go elsewhere to provide our evidence to investigative authorities."

You seem to be confused. I am hoping you are young. This isn't rocket science.

No one should claim someone is believable or not before seeing/hearing all the evidence.

Then after hearing all the available evidence, can you form your own personal opinion on what happen.

Which doesn't mean you are right or know what actually happen.

However, that doesn't change the fact when and how you report it will affect people's perceptions.

I, like most, would be more predisposition, to believe someone who immediately goes to police with bruising and signs of sexual trauma vs someone who comes forward years later with a civil suit.

They aren't alleging physical harm. They are alleging sexial harassment. Unless I missed where some have alleged being beaten.

So you like to put words in people's mouth as well i see.

I was clearly talking about "being sure" of something.

Not simple belief / opinion.

Belief / Opinion is subjective. Each person requires different things for believe / opinions. It is not a statement of fact.

You are part of the problem.

You are the reason why innocent people are jailed and have their name, reputation and even life (finances) ruined.

A lot of women never come forward.

Sad to say I know more than one. And none of their cases involved anybody rich, famous or powerful.

An awful lot of defenses involve attacking the victim. Many a woman who has gone to trial said the experience was like being raped all over again.

Trust me when I say a delay in reporting or pursuing action is not unusual at all.
