I'm not trying to convince you of anything, just help you understand. Whether or not you want to be convinced to change your opinion/behavior/whatever is on you.

I'm good on the idea though that you have to be convinced to understand why what you said is seen as ignorant in regards to expectations/perceptions of victims of sexual misconduct.

I made zero "expectations" for people who allege sexual assault.

They should do what ever they feel is the right thing to do and or what ever they are comfortable with doing.

my contention has been that if these actions didn't meet the threshold of criminality, the NFL will probably conduct their own simultaneous investigation to determine the level of wrongdoing and suspend him accordingly for conduct. 8 games? that will likely be the extent the NFL involves themselves in a matter in which there are 20 accusers and not a single indictable offense according to their own lawyer. this is huge for watson and his team, because it's now and presumably forever a civil matter and civil matters require no admission of guilt to be made to go away. just cold, hard cash of which watson has more than enough.

this unsavory footnote will be remembered for what it was, which was careless and stupid behavior by watson that cost him a lot of money, but not his freedom, from a lawyer who wanted to extract his pound of flesh for a scorned city that has been cheering him on. the friend of bob mcnair that decided if watson was going to play elsewhere, the city of houston was going to have their say for his carelessness that would have remained forever silenced,

watson will be a panther before the draft, but we'll probably have to roll with Teddy B for the duration of any league discipline. we rolled the dice with having only 1 plan, but we waited out a lot of teams that weren't willing to risk this was resolved without criminal charges. with a few teams dropping out of the race and the Texans position of having to trade him now, the price probably got a lot more reasonable.

tepper on the day of the trade, "we did our due diligence on the accusations. we took them very seriously. at the end of the day, we believe in this young man's character and have discussed the importance that the alleged behavior not be repeated. deshaun is remorseful for the carelessness of his actions and he's going to try to restore his name by being a leader in our community and in our room. that is about all we can say on the matter and we will accept the league's discipline without appeal."

then we have our starter by week 9. end scene.

"careless and stupid behavior by watson"

No one can say or claim such without cold hard proof he did it. Which at present there isn't any.

Anyone can make any acquisition and file civil suits. That doesn't mean one did it or didn't do it.

So lawyer is lying and now is saying he’s not taking to HPD. Dude looks like a scumbag

https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2021/03/30/tony-buzbee-wont-provide-information-regarding-deshaun-watson-to-houston-police-department-after-all/amp/

He claims his adversaries in the police department will do his clients wrong. This lawyer is a joke.  If there was wrongdoing on Watson's part, these women should dump the lawyer and go to the police. This really looks like a money grab.

So now they’re not sending info to the police? So not only did this dude forge text messages during his mayor run but he sent out anti trans mailers. Dude is a slime ball, giant piece of poo. These women need different representation because this dude is a liar and is muddying this all up.

And his statement basically called out the police department and said they wouldn't treat his clients fairly cuz of him. Even florio said that statement should send these women running for new representation

It’s what I’ve said from the beginning. You don’t continue with a lawyer that drunk posts your case at 11 pm on his personal social media. It’s totally disrespectful to these women. They need new representation ASAP.

The fact that he keeps posting this case stuff on Instagram is embarrassing as well. Borderline trump antics

    • KC has a very good defense this year. It is 5th overall. Yes, still worse than last year, but their offense is considerably worse. Their passing D may be their "weakness" but they still allow fewer than 20 ppg. BY completed several deep passes yesterday, and he was able to threaten downfield in ways he didn't seem capable of before the benching. I'm not necessarily worried about his ability to connect deep anymore. What to me was impressive was that he did all this without a run game. We used the pass to set up what little running success we had. Wild.
    • Solid and fair assessment.   I will say, one of the big things I noticed yesterday was that he wasn't shy to step up into the pocket in the face of pressure.  He's trusting the IOL.  And they took care of Chris Jones yesterday.  We had clean pockets but also good success rate vs. pressure which just hasn't been the case with Bryce.   If he has more confidence the OL gets it done and he can navigate and step up for throws, that's huge.  It's one of the biggest things that's held him back.  He was previously bailing quickly and just too easily throwing away or making dead plays.     He was finding his 2nd to 3rd reads within structure/without bailing in the pocket.  That was nice to see, as much concern I have with him.  And the overall limitations will always be there. Time to back it up this week against the Bucs.
    • Suddenly the Cowgirls look like our best chance for a win remaining. I think the Bucs are playing better than the Falcons of late.  Our lone game versus the dirty birds is in the ATL where we always struggle.  The Cardinals are marginally better than I thought they would be. We are not beating the Eagles, they are starting to roll. I'm saying two at most, next week at home versus the Bucs and the Cowgirls.
