Reddick was moved to inside linebacker out of college for a couple of reasons. He had elite athletic testing numbers at the combine, which projected him as a great cover guy, and at 6-foot-1 and 235 pounds he was smaller than a typical pass-rusher.

But the mental aspect never clicked for Reddick, which is why the Cardinals made the last-ditch effort to put him back on the edge. While he will never be the towering presence of a player like Jones, Reddick has fit in perfectly as a versatile strongside linebacker.

That's his natural position, that's where he wanted to play. That's his best fit in a  defense, and he's been lights out. … He can rush. He can set an edge. He can drop into space. He is the prototype for our SAM 'backer in a defense.

I like this signing. Now if we could somehow keep Samuel, sign a legit tight end, then a couple low signings like a corner and dline help I'd be pleased with our free agency. 1)samuel 2) tight end 3) low to mid corner and dlineman

Yetur Gross-Matos: 4.52 (According to PSU D-Line coach Sean Spencer, didn't officially run at the combine. Either way he's very fast on the field)

Hasson Reddick: 4.52

Brian Burns: 4.53

 

For comparison sake:

#1 cb > #3 wr. 

I really like Curt, but a starting corner is more of a necessity.

I was like, damn we're going to be stacked on the edge! .....then i thought about how this might mean we're trading brian burns to the texans. dead serious that's a real possibility now that chinn is moving to safety.
