Mcnair would literally lose his team overnight and then be sued into oblivion by Watson.  No effing way he would do that as some (moronic) posters are suggesting

There is no way at all McNair is paying these women or responsible for this in some way.  The timing was suspicious I admit and the lawyer is sleezy but the more info that comes out the worse it looks for Watson.

Burnnchinn thinks he is and he has links (but refuses to post them) as evidence things like this happen

Calling all the accusers escorts that are lying just to make a payday does seem like an attack to me.

There are people's real lives involved here, including Watson's.

I can't understand anyone's top priority in a situation like that still being football.

I think people really need to step back and evaluate their priorities in life if you are looking to twist things and attack victims because you have some weird attachment to your football team. Deshaun Watson is not some untouchable infallible person because he is good as football, nor should that be the case. I think it might benefit everyone to really take a moment and think before you reply in this thread with some whack job conspiracy about the victims or belittle the potential assaults themselves. This is so much bigger than football, and really cements why powerful people get away with this kind of poo.

Good statement...

That’s life. Life ain’t fair. People have the right to feel however they want to feel. If his name wasn’t Deshaun Watson we wouldn’t even be talking about this. This is a football forum at the end of the day. Y’all don’t want to have the real bigger than football conversations so stop cherry picking.

Besides, literally all good lawyers have a bit of sleaziness to them... that’s kinda the point

True, and a lot of successful ones are a--holes (I say this as someone who's met my fair share).

Heck, in some cases - like if you're going up against a rich, famous, super popular person - you might need somebody who's a little bit full of sh-t. A more sober, cautious attorney could suggest just settling for whatever you can get (or just dropping it entirely) whereas a bombastic a--hole might turn it into a personal crusade.

As to the attorney in this case, he's definitely not somebody I'd want to work with, but it's not my situation.

Again, some of the women involved in this story are state licensed massage therapists. As was pointed out, that's not an easy thing to become. And if it were true, that would be a pretty easy thing to figure out.

you can be a licensed massage therapist and also an escort

Yikes.

Find it hard to believe nine victims couldn't find a lawyer without a history of faking texts, then texts are supposedly the big evidence. Seems fishy and worthy of scrutiny.

Yikes.

I can be skeptical of this one case in particular while also thinking sexual assault is a big deal. Does the fact this lawyer and the owner being neighbors, and the lawyer has a rep for fabricating texts not matter orrr? Bc it adds some "let's wait and see" context for me.

    • Respectfully, I completely disagree. Last year we were:  32nd in Sacks. 32nd in Turnovers.  32nd in Rushing TDs allowed  29th in Scoring.  We were absolutely atrocious on defense last year and that was with a full stable of weapons in Derek Brown, Frankie Luvu and Brian Burns that played all 17 games.  Using yards per game as a metric to guage our success lacks the context that because our offense was so inept teams were not driving the length of the field, they were starting at their 40-50 yard line.  This year, our Defense ranks:  31st in Sacks. Tied for 19th in Turnovers  31st in Rushing TDs allowed 32nd in Scoring  His defense fails to get pressure, fails to turn the ball over and fails to stop the run. Three things you absolutely have to do to be successful in the NFL.  Denver meanwhile has not missed a beat without him.  If another team wants to hire him as a HC and the Panthers get two 3rds for it I'll wish him the best and pack his bags myself.
