A few options 

1. He clears his name by draft day with receipts and is exonerated, and he gets traded. 
2. He is not able to clear his name, ends up on NFL exempt list, Texans cut him and clear all of his cap due to technicalities 
3. He lands on the exempt list while a thorough investigation plays out and it takes time. If he is found guilty he is out of the NFL forever, if nothing comes up he is up for grabs by probably opening week. 

Either way it's really sad that any of this is happening and heartbreaking for all involved.

I definitely don't see this being resolved by the draft or even the start of the season, like someone mentioned before... I think it is time to look at the draft as the new Plan A, B, and C

We know the NFLs track record on using the exempt list. It’s not hard to figure out he’s still going to be on that list come draft day.

If we're THAT committed to this plan that's a HUGE concern. I'm never a fan of going all-in on something when there are plenty of factors beyond your control. All in on a Cam or Luck or Trevor Lawrence when you're holding the #1 overall pick? Fine. Hell, all in on an RG3 when you're the Redskins and have traded for the #2 overall pick? Fine. I know lots of folks are actually scared to be proven wrong about stuff on here bc they strangely tie their egos to pie but this poo seems SO sketchy and so clearly a setup I can imagine Deshaun being guilty of this. Not when the lawyer is the owners neighbor. Nah, man.

He’s not going to be off the exempt list by opening week without proof McNair was behind this and even then the NFL is going to be in a even worse poo. This is going to take time in courts unless it’s thrown out on standing. The NFL won’t make a move until the courts resolve it.

You can’t Discount the accusations but you also can’t discount the timing of this thing too.

ITS OVER

There is no way this gets cleared up before the draft, which is just a month away and a week, and there is no way the Panthers, or any team trades for him with this over his head. Time to look towards trading up with the Phins for Fields, boyos. He's a proto Deshaun anyway, for the people who really were gunning for him.

Pretty much.  I'm sure they already knew about the allegations before they came public. But now that he's not going to be there, whether true or not, they're not going to help him cover it up anymore. That's my take.
