Is the smart move now to sign Trubiski and draft a QB, trade Bridgewater to SF?  Saving $10 m to trade TB, and that is about what (I think) Trubiski might sign for--(guessing).

Smart and Signing Trubisky for 10m don't belong in the same sentence.

if i had a gun to my head and had to guess what was going on, id say that this is a POS front office/ownership trying to fug over a player on his way out.

When in reality its just driving his price down..    doesn't logically make sense for them to do that..  which is why i think the texans, or actually the friends of that POS owner, are doing this.

Timing is sus, but why on earth would they be behind lowering his value?? Wouldnt the opposite be better?

I'm not suggesting Whiny Watson is guilty of anything...

...but the Huddle Court of Opinion certainly is giving him a complete pass vs. any other player (or executive) in recent times who has been accused of anything remotely close to this!

Hmm, I wonder why....??

I think you might be simplifying the Huddle's perspective so you can build a case against your argument.  I see mixed emotions, some waiting.  Antonio Brown?  Well, he had pleaded guilty of burglary a year before he was accused and it did not involve the possible future of the Panthers.  Other things were coming out about Brown that suggested problems in the ole noggin.  Watson has been the all American boy made good, and the day bad news breaks about him, you seem shocked that people would want to reserve judgement.  No warning signs.  So these are different scenarios altogether, but your system of logic is exposed, not Huddlers, in my opinion.

I can't believe there are actually people who are against us acquiring a young franchise QB like Watson. You guys are still stuck in the Jerry Richardson mindset of how to build a team.

All the stud RBs, pass rushers, and successful 1st round picks we've had since 2002 and yet if you take out the one pick that was a franchise QB (Cam) we'd have gotten nothing for all of them.

Without a QB, nothing else matters. With one, you have a shot. Yes, you have to build around him, but without one to build around you might as well forfeit every game because you're never going to be more than average unless you can somehow manage to put together an all-time great defense, which is practically impossible these days between the rules and the salary cap.

Why take out Cam, hes a great example of what happens when you can not protect your QB. Watson going to block the whole OL himself? You ok with putting a elite QB(that you just gave valuable assets for) behind a OL of UDFAs/veteran minimum types? How many games can this team win while Watson is on IR? Cam was here and recently too, he could only handle so much.

Do you know that he won 6 games and lost 3 on an 8-8 team and completed 67% of his passes?  Do you know much about the Bears OL?  The WRs and running game?

You see, if you sign him, you are already better than TB and you still go after drafting a QB.

It is not Watson--I get it--but you must learn to comprehend that there are things in this world that are smart even if you do not think they are.  Nobody knows how Trubiski will do in another system with good WRs--not me--and not you.  So cut the chest pounding crap and learn how to consider all possible options without getting those panties in a wad.

its the owner trying to get one over on an MVP QB that screw them over.

its so easy in todays cancel culture

I dont see why, when he could get sooo much in return for him. Like buying a home and the agent says "well yea they only had either 8 or 10 people murder here"...
