OP should clarify this is a civil lawsuit, not criminal which makes it seem more like a money grab.

I’m all for waiting to pass judgement until things play out BUT sorry can’t not address the connections to the owner with deshaun’s holdout. This is super shady and that IG post was completely unprofessional and weird.

I saw this last night and declined to post on it due to no substantiation whatsoever. It just flies in the face of everything that I've read about Watson, and the timing is suspiciosly right on time by a questionable character who apparently has a relationship with an owner with suspect character. I'd bet that there's nothing to this at the end of the day.

Kinda raises the question why the offered settlement was only 6 figures. If you're trying to shakedown Watson, you'd think you'd go for a little higher number.

the Texans forum is a mess. Some posts saying cal set this up, some saying deshaun himself set this up as far as his comments about “extreme measures” to get out of HOU, others saying deshaun definitely did it because he hung out with a pornstar that one time (wut). This is ugly.

It’s a slippery slope. Then you get victims afraid they will lose the case and remain silent or worse get out lawyered by a rich person and get punishment as well as the assault that happened...

It makes no sense. Would this not drive down how much teams are willing to trade for him? Imagine trading a ton of assets for him and this turns out to be true.
