Yeah, we are going to have to closer to the draft and see what happens with Watson and to a lesser degree Russell but I am pretty confident QBs will definitely go 1-4.  Check back later.

Right now...I am definitely sure Trevor, Wilson and Lance go in the top 4.  Fields not completely sure yet but his upside tells me yes.

I’d bet anything right now that we don’t have 4 QBs go in the top 4.

But it’s not the same. Decision making when you know you can outrun 99% of every pass rush is a lot easier than making decisions under duress. Gaps close quicker in the NFL. He will be under pressure quicker. He will have to make those decisions quicker. That’s what needs to be seen. Can he make a good read when he doesn’t feel pressure? Most of this draft class does. As far as calling your own plays in a pro style offense? They all figure out calling plays in the pros without much issue. Oregon spent days turning to the sideline looking at playcaller and Justin Herbert is fine. I’d be shocked if any of these kids have trouble calling plays.

All QBs have to adjust to the speed of the NFL, and it doesn't matter which conference or division they played in. The calling of the plays may be considered the easy part; it's the reading of defenses which is more complex, and reportedly Lance did that well! So well, in fact, that some have ranked him ahead of Fields simply due to processing and reacting with accuracy.

It does matter who they played against. Lesser athletes against you give you far more wiggle room for mistakes. When Lance doesn’t know what to do he takes off. Great decision making against lesser athletes. Does that translate well to long term success in the pros?

I know you love Chase but Miami will almost certainly trade out...I would. They can get an amazing player plus crazy return.

Atlanta will take a QB IMO.  If not they will also trade out.

If Carolina isn’t in top 4 we have made other plans.

People can forget Wilson w ain’t trading up to 2 or 3 for an unknown. I mean if ur going to give that much up ur trading for Watson. I mean if three guys are gone and we have to trade to 5 to get Lance I’m ok with that.

Yes, i agree with again. I don't believe in trading up more than 4 spots in the top 10. More than 4 costs too much. Especially in this draft which has so much talent. I also disagree with the idea that all 4 will be gone by pick 8. Some will say that if the teams don't want to draft a qb then they'll trade with team who does but I think they don't truly understand the costs of moving up from even the mid round to above 8. For teams like the Pats, Bears or WFT to move in front of us they would probably have to give a their 1st, 2nd, 3rd this year and a 1st next year or 1/2, 1/2 and that's a lot for an unknown who is the 3rd or 4th qb in a draft. I personally think possibly Fields and Lance are there at 8. The only sure pick is Jax. I'm not certain Jets will go QB, I don't think Atl will, they have Ryan for at least 2 seasons and need to fill out their roster. They will hope to trade back. Philly no. They just experienced what having 2 qbs on the roster can do in today's age and need to fill out roster as they are complete rebuild now, Detroit no, they have their qb for at least the nest 2-3 seasons.

The Bears can't risk giving away 2-3 years of top picks to move up for a qb again. They just tried that and it didn't work. Pats might but that's usually not their way. WFT is Rivera's team now and that's not his style either. The one team we may have to watch out for is Denver but I believe their Lock experiment is over yet and at most they'd move up to 7 and maybe 6. If the Jets don't draft a qb then maybe 1 team will make a jump up for him specifically but otherwise I think the qbs go later than predicted.

I loved everything about him

and, didn’t get to see running or other normal combine skills

very calm demeanor.  Strong. Very strong.  Yes he missed a few to the right but in fairness he hasn’t played but one game this year

there is no way the Falcons are passing on him

thete is also no way the Falcons would trade with the panthers either

btw, I read an interesting projection that the Falcons are trading Ryan, their top d player and several number one picks for Watson

that little mean nothing win against Washington sure is going to cost a great deal  stupid

The Falcons have a lot of roster spots to fill. That can't afford to spend 1 pick on a qb to sit for 2 season. Plus Ryan is only 35 and a top 10 qb. drafting a qb makes no sense.

If we are going to get serious about a QB and they like Lance much more than Mac, and they probably should, we will trade up.

Jags--Trevor

Jets--Wilson

Dolphins (wild card--smart to trade back, but they could love a player and that could be a QB.  Trade for Watson?  Who knows?)

Atlanta--Fields or Lance  (while I think taking a QB now is dumb, they have so many needs and a decent QB under contract)

Cincinnati  (another Wild Card--teams will be giving them a lot for the #5 spot if a top 5 QB is on the board)

Philly--possibly taking a QB or would trade back

Detroit--Possibly taking a QB or would trade back

Denver (9) SF (12) NE (15) Washington (19) all could try to move up from where they are. (the picks are from memory--approximate)

sorry but I see only Jax and NY maybe as WB teams. For anyone to move above us there are only 2 maybe 3 who could afford to do it. SF would be the one to watch but Im not convinced Jets draft qb to be honest. Wilson could be there at 8 or we could maybe trade up to 6 for Wilson if that was our guy

Yeah a different time in the nfl, teams want that a qb, other teams will move ahead of us

no one has traded up 4 a qb the last 2 season tho. for whatever that's worth. With the cap problems 60% of the teams have I think most can't lose 3 draft picks this season as they'll need them just to fill roster spots.

Joe Brady & Rhule were front and center for that workout.

Maybs this is the guy folks.  Would not be made at all.  Lance or Fields would be super promising.

R1 Lance/Fields QB

R2 Cosmi/Leatherwood/Mayfield OT

the rest--Offensive focus w/maybe a CB or DT

Yeah, I've thought for a while now that if we don't trade forWatson the I think Lance will be the pick. He just seem like the type of player Rhule would like to coach to me. He has the physical characteristics and the coachable trait that Rhule loves to talk about. He's really big on the coaching part

Never going to happen.   You are insane to think otherwise

Who is going before the QBs?  This draft is really weak overall.

Are you saying a WR goes before the QBs?  Sewell a guy that didn’t play last season?  A TE/WR player?

These QBs will go, it is happening
