Quote from article

“When I watched him, I said this was A.J. McCarron all over again," a separate scout said. "The offense. The players around him. He's got a slow delivery. He labors in his movements. If he's in rhythm and everything is working for him, he's a machine. I just question everything about his natural talent, his playmaking, his ability to face pressure and make plays."

Another, after seeing Jones as the Senior Bowl, added: "He stood out in a bad way. He didn't look very strong. He didn't look very athletic. He just didn't look like a starter you want in the NFL."

I dont see the slow delivery at all, maybe on deep throws but he shows zip on the mid range ones

Teddy is a pussy that is scared to throw downfield.  I doubt mac is.  Again not saying I want him but I am already mentally preparing myself for Jones to be our qb for the next few years

He wasn't in college. When your underthrown deep balls you're putting everything you've got into start getting picked at the NFL level you get gun shy... or start throwing INTs in bunches.

The article is a fairly good one. The quotes are supposedly from pro scouts. Some love him.  Some don’t

I do believe he is ‘AJ Macarron all over again. ‘ but I’m not a pro scout.

I will take your word for it with Teddy.   But I dont think its an apples to apples with Mac.

Ill trust Rhule and Brady until they dont give me a reason to do so.  Still hoping for Lance or a trade down but preparing myself for mac at 8

Take a look.

Teddy's arm was better. Jones can't make that first throw. Teddy there it 50 yards in the air hitting a WR in stride and didn't even have a clean pocket to step up in. Jones can't do that. Teddy hasn't shown the ability to do it either at the NFL level, but he did in college.

I mean, so far their QB selection has consisted of Teddy Bridgewater. We can blame that on Hurney all we want but we wouldn't have signed Teddy if Rhule and Brady were pounding the table screaming "NO!"

He also show some pinpoint accurate throws as well

Look you guys aren't thinking.

What does Teddy do well? Between the hashes from 10 to 20 yds down field.

What did Jones do well? Between the hashes 10 to 20 yards down field.

What does teddy do checkdown.

On his checkdown throw Jones had the lb beat. Breese, Brady ,Mahomes and Rodgers beat 46 there. Jones and Teddy? Checkdown.

How many times did we belabor Teddy having someone wide open deep and slightly under throwing it and losing a TD? Same thing with Jones. Yes he got 1st and goal at the 5. But 1st and Goal at the 5 isn't automatic in the NFL. You needed the td on the previous play.

What does Teddy struggle with? Deep outs. Mac Jones repeatedly struggled with deep outs and opposite hash throws.

When guys were NFL open he struggled or shied away.

When they were Alabama open he didn't.

Open your eyes fellas.

This is what I'm seeing too. Teddy would look just like Mac Jones in last year's Alabama offense. Honestly, Teddy would probably be better because he can move around a little bit on the rare occasion when things break down.

Again I am not advocating for him at all I just think at the end of the day he probably is our pick as it stands today.  Unless they are fine with getting lance and waiting and rolling teddy out again in 2021

If he is then my hope for the Rhule Era is pretty much over. He didn't learn a thing from the failed Teddy experiment. I'll hope that I'm wrong but I'll fully expect another 2-3 years of flailing before the reset button gets pushed on the entire organization. Again.

Hmmm from the people who brought in Bridgewater and now act like he was some surprise that showed up at their door step

we don’t have any choice but to trust them

filterer is here instead of hurney. That’s the only change

what I want them to do is get who they want, if that is Wilson, get him.  If it’s fields, lance, Jones whoever but they best know their jobs are tied to him

no excuses

    • KC has a very good defense this year. It is 5th overall. Yes, still worse than last year, but their offense is considerably worse. Their passing D may be their "weakness" but they still allow fewer than 20 ppg. BY completed several deep passes yesterday, and he was able to threaten downfield in ways he didn't seem capable of before the benching. I'm not necessarily worried about his ability to connect deep anymore. What to me was impressive was that he did all this without a run game. We used the pass to set up what little running success we had. Wild.
    • Solid and fair assessment.   I will say, one of the big things I noticed yesterday was that he wasn't shy to step up into the pocket in the face of pressure.  He's trusting the IOL.  And they took care of Chris Jones yesterday.  We had clean pockets but also good success rate vs. pressure which just hasn't been the case with Bryce.   If he has more confidence the OL gets it done and he can navigate and step up for throws, that's huge.  It's one of the biggest things that's held him back.  He was previously bailing quickly and just too easily throwing away or making dead plays.     He was finding his 2nd to 3rd reads within structure/without bailing in the pocket.  That was nice to see, as much concern I have with him.  And the overall limitations will always be there. Time to back it up this week against the Bucs.
    • Suddenly the Cowgirls look like our best chance for a win remaining. I think the Bucs are playing better than the Falcons of late.  Our lone game versus the dirty birds is in the ATL where we always struggle.  The Cardinals are marginally better than I thought they would be. We are not beating the Eagles, they are starting to roll. I'm saying two at most, next week at home versus the Bucs and the Cowgirls.
