I know they aren’t legit, I didn’t know if it was seen elsewhere.

I have actually heard that rumor twice now. I wouldnt be surprised if they did.... question is ... with the fact we want to compete for Watson... could we get enough from Bills for us to get Watson?

A 1st and a young defensive starter perhaps 🤔

I think the only defender from the bills id take in a cmc deal would be:
1. Tre'Davious White
2. Jordan Poyer

That's it. However, Im sure people on this board would take:
1. AJ Klein
2. Josh Norman
3. Star
4. Vernon Butler
5. Mario Addison
6. Andre Smith

To be fair, we desperately need AJ Klein lol

Lovely sentiment.  Yeah that's the tough thing, knowing it's not my place to publicly shout for myself as you put it.  This forum was a spot I felt I could at least say it.  Never felt comfortable letting people in my life outside of those close know (they only find out secondhand).  It's something that just sucks and I totally hear you about people seeing it at it's scariest.

Not being critical--I am happy for you.  I know that feeling--but since I saw what I described, I felt guilty.  And you are right---it is about as bad as laughing at a funeral if you say it to the wrong people.  I had a relative once stand up at a restaurant and said MHS831 (that is my real name) beat cancer! Kicked its ass!

I stood up after that and said, "Go to Duke and sit in the Cancer center.  I assure you, Cancer is alive and well.  I did not beat anything.  Thanks for the support and kind words, but this ain't over."

NFLrums is about 95-99% bullsh-t.

Yes, I read that in the comments, that’s why I didn’t make it a thread and I wanted to check here if someone read something similar somewhere else. It’s unfortunate, there are a lot of places like this twitter handle that do this.

    • Too late to edit above but the quote is from this Diane Russini article in the Athletic: https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/5941684/2024/11/23/russinis-what-im-hearing-the-day-the-jets-fell-apart-and-the-broncos-rallied-belichick-best-fits/ Okay.. there you have sorry I left that out the first post.  Also waivers keep the contract intact. That is the major difference in released and waived. It's all in that link from the other post.
    • Okay so I am reading something in The Athletic and it says that Jones had to pass through waivers. So I don't know. I looked this stuff up when we were number one there all offseason and I thought it said 4 years in the league got you vested, as they call it.  Vested gets you out of waivers as I understood it. I probably got something wrong, but when I think about the slack quality of journalism these days I wonder about that. So I went and looked, again. Well, well.  For everyone: "When a player has accrued at least four seasons in the NFL, they are considered a vested veteran. When these vested veterans get cut, they are released and their contract is terminated. When a vested veteran is released, they are an unrestricted free agent that can sign with any NFL team, and the team that released them doesn’t need to provide any additional compensation." It runs it all down here, where the quotes came from: https://www.profootballnetwork.com/waived-vs-released-nfl/ As far as Jones, the team turned down his 5th year option so I knew that meant he had 4 years in, because they re-signed him anyway, after turning down the much cheaper extra year.  The Athletic is owned by the New York Times so I shouldn't be surprised. That paper was an institution once upon a time but they let their standards go.
