You don't cut Delhomme because much of his money is guaranteed unless it is uncapped then you might take the hit. Otherwise you renegotiate it and back load it and pay the guaranteed money with a very small salary upfront with the majoirty of the salary backloaded knowing that part isn't guaranteed or likely to be paid.

You try to sign Pep long-term but if he refuses you franchise him and get what you can for him.

You don't resign Vincent and go after a FA right guard, you don't resign Moose and Jarrett bringing in Moore, Goodson in the slot and drafting or FA a few guys.

You draft a second round quarterback and still keep McCown and Moore plus you bring in another veteran who can compete for the starting job like a Derek Anderson. Can't have enough quarterbacks but some aren't going to make it.

You let Marshall go because you have Munnerlyn unless with an uncapped year he won't be free for 2 more years then you make a 2nd round tender for him and see who bites.

Finally you make a push for a linebacker to replace Diggs who is getting long in the tooth. As for the Dline you keep Brayton, Johnson, Peppers if you can, Leonard, Tyler, make another year offer to Hollis Thomas, Kemo and Brown. Lewis would be the odd man out.
