Panthers re-sign Zylstra

In actual news (though still not big news) Joe Person reports the Panthers have brought back receiver Brandon Zylstra on a one year deal.

Or sign and trade Zylstra. Zylstra, Teddy, and a conditional 5th for Watson.

Isn't part of the problem that Watson feels like Houston is not putting the team around him he needs to be a winner?  So what would be the point of moving here if we trade our two best receivers for him?

Yup, but in all seriousness now, as mentioned in the tweet, definitely performs well in special teams and has played decent on offense when given the chance.  Good move.

I like Zylstra as depth, but I'd think that we'd be more likely to consider Omar Bayless as insurance. We surely didn't leave him on the vine. He did enough last year in camp to make an impression and ensure his spot for another offseason.

I can see what the brass is up to now.  Trimming the fat with the cuts last week while re-signing key backup/rotational guys to the roster.  Back filling the lower end of the roster doesn't dent the cap space very much while keeping the shopping list to a minimum once FA does open.
