IMO If the team ends up keeping Bridgewater which could be a little handy when bringing in a rookie QB, and also keep Shaq for at least another year. You could restructure both of there 2021 contacts to free up cap savings!

*Bridgewater estimated cap savings: $8.1M

*Shaq estimated cap savings: $6.3M

*Total cap savings for these 2 players in 2021: Around $14,414,167 if restructured

*Figures based off overthecap.com

I know where your coming from on your gif image. I'm just saying the team has options to free up more cap savings if (Fitt, Rhule, and Tepper decides to try that option) on these players. But restructuring Shaq contract would save more cap space than if you released or traded him pre-June 1st (cap savings $4,580,000; dead money: $9,600,000). If released or traded post-June 1st would have cap savings of $4,563,333 (cap savings:$10,980,000; dead money:3,200,000) more than restructuring his contract (cap savings:6,326,667; dead money: $0).

TB and Shaq are both overpaid. Restructuring doesn't rectify this. We pay them this year and cut them both next year. We draft their replacements this year or next. That is the best financial and football decision on each of them.

I don't think Teddy would be willing to restructure. Unsure about Shaq.

Teddy will most likely be gone this offseason and I suspect Shaq will be gone after 2021.

Our best hope from an overall view is to trade teddy for a second or third round after June first to a team in dire need of a QB, such as one who losses their starting QB in training camp. Anything else and he's a flat loss books wise.
