"In on every deal" does not literally mean we will try to trade for every single player who comes available.  It simply means that we will not be shy making trades for positions of need that can upgrade our team.  Like, we're not going to try and trade for another QB if/when we land our new QB of the future.  We're probably not in the market for any WR's that come available via trade right now.  Use your heads, people.

I do. Plenty of deals to know better up front. Again, why ask if it's it's bad deal from 10k feet up? what's the direction, game plan for this team build? First come good enough approach? Just a bad moto period. Be active and be smart and know when to say he'll no thank you.

This isn't being fickle, it's calling the owner and team out deservingly.

I would say Tepper has been owner long enough that he deserves to be evaluated on his performance.

Again though, my hope is that he's learned from his mistakes.

Much of what we have seen the last 3 years is Tepper and company digging the team out of the massive hole that Richardson/Hurney/Rivera left us in.  There have been sweeping changes up and down the organization, and we only now have Teppers chosen GM in place.  I am willing to give them the benefit of the doubt right now.  Things seem to be headed in the right direction, and we do not look anything like the team that the previous regime created.  As im sure you are aware, these things take time.

Agreed.

I'm not going to give someone 5 years to clean up a mess...especially when he should have understood the process better after being part of the ownership group of the Steelers.

Mistake after mistake after mistake....nah, I'm out until proven otherwise.

Even with bringing in a new GM...he still forced said new GM to accept "his" coach.  Maybe this trend is the right one, but that's not a recipe that I'd like to start with.

I agree Hurney should've been gone before last year. It was a very odd sight to have him there. I realize last season was an awkward thing for all organizations, but it seemed even more so in our front office.

Should've let Hurney and Rivera both go at the same time if not at the end of the season. Could've still had his guy outlined (Rhule) and hired a new GM to make it happen, but they way everything played out made things seem way off.

It seems to be a weird structure of football operations, but that could be a misconception due to just how all the moves have corresponded.  Gotta give it a bit to marinate, before I jump to any conclusions. Also, very happy to not have Hurney at GM anymore.

Proof in some cases he is not skilled or knowledgeable enough to have that job?

In implies involved. Asking a 90 second question isn't in, its seeing if you want in. It's a dumb moto and horrific way to proceed as GM.
