I will be honest,  anyone criticizing Mr Scot does not understand what he does for the Huddle.  Full Stop.  I do not always agree with him, but that is not the issue--he puts it out there and keeps it fresh.

This

I don’t always agree with Scot but I appreciate his intelligence and love our beloved but befuddling franchise

I don't understand why there is so much bickering and infighting here.

Who cares what people post. Be it fact fantasy or opinion.

It's Panthers talk. Enjoy it.

To click or not to click, that is the question.

It's hilarious that anyone paid attention to the Huddle's all-time most useless poster crying about Mr. Scot creating a thread.

When your point is illustrated by a name that references pro wrestling, I am pretty sure that nullifies the attempt to make a valid point.

Been thinking about that since I heard it was shrinking.  Many will do 2 year deals with a player voidable 2nd year if I had to guess.  It's what I would do.

The thing is, the agreement is to spread out the revenue loss over the next three offseasons. Perhaps the loss will not be as great(which the +$5 mil floor might be an indication of) but it could also mean a fairly static cap for the next three seasons.

That might make it difficult to "wait it out." This is also assuming that the NFL is back to normal operations in 2021.

Ehhh, I haven't looked into it fully just yet, don't care to either...but I'm pretty sure that a lot of players were going to get some pay raises when the new TV deals are done...I think that's soon no?

Personally, were I a player, I would take my lumps this season, not stretch it out over 3.

In an NFL/football forum, people talking about and sharing their interest in the NFL/football seems quite reasonable. People never cease to amaze. I rarely comment (or give any attention to) on any of the pettiness that often goes on around here though. I'd rather just let people have their own energy and dwell in their own misery than absorb any of it into myself. I guess we're all on our own journey though.

    • I just switched to prime video with fanduel south. Will I be able to watch the Canes playoff games still?
    • I mean, you can use that "logic," but the problem is that most practice squad players, backups or average guys don't put the play on film that Wharton did when given their opportunities.  Perhaps you'll end up right, but I don't think that just because a guy has been in a rotation makes him inherently less productive because he gets more snaps. I will say that the KC fans I've seen on social media loved him, and considered him their second best DT,  regardless of his "rotational" status, and generally considered him a dawg, so I'm going to give him the benefit of doubt until he shows otherwise.
    • Did I miss something?  The people we have developing players now are not the ones we've had in the past so I don't know what the heck people are talking about when they say we are not good at developing players right now.  We only have one year to go on.  Canales likes young players or players who are on an upward trajectory, especially in FA this year.  Past QB's and what he's done with Bryce are good examples. Tershawn Wharton - 26 Tre'von Moehrig - 25 Pat Jones II - 26 Bobby Brown III - 24 Michael Jackson - 28 Jaycee Horn - 25 Tommy Tremble - 24 We missed on Milton Williams but he's 26. Everyone else we picked up are on 1 year deals.  The Panthers new front office and Canales absolutely scream developmental team. Pick 8 (stay) Tier 1 Elite - Abdul Carter, Travis Hunter and Mason Graham Tier 2 Elite - Jalon Walker, Mykel Williams, Will Johnson Trade down: There are quite a few really good players that fit us at Edge, DT, S and WR mid to late 1st and high 2nd.  Some combos that would be possible that I really like.  Imagine getting 2 of these guys by trading down. Stark, Pierce Jr, Golden, Scourton, Grant, Emmanwori, Ezeiruaku, Umanmielen, Deone Walker, Harmon and this is just off the top of my head.
