Tight end position

In terms of positional value, TE sits somewhere around 10 or so in terms of value for starting offensive players.

If you have a great one, great, otherwise, upgrade as much as possible around them.

Jacob Hollister is who I got my money on. Trust me he'd got the tool-set to be a top 12 TE. Should come cheap and Frittrerer should know him well.

We did fairly well with the weapons we had last season even without CMC.  However, there is no doubt that our TE corps could use an upgrade.  As mentioned, several will be available in FA and many teams will be struggling with cap numbers, so fingers crossed.  The draft will be for offense for sure, but I don't see TE being one of the main targets this draft

I have heard some porn stars like Lisa Ann are very good recieving tight ends.  I am not sure what people meant when they said that or if she would play for us next year but hey it's worth a shot

based on what i’ve read, TE isn’t a position that is featured in our offensive system. which is fine if the replacement production is covered by say a slot receiver, in which case curtis samuel definitely made up for a lack of a pass catching TE in receptions/yards.

i’m neither here nor there on the issue. i feel like this offense could work fine without a TE, however if the opportunity presents itself where we’re on the clock and there’s a really good TE prospect on the board, it’s probably best not to pass it up.

A mid-tier guy: nothing more, nothing less.  TE isn't a staple in Joe Brady's offense, so why pay the big bucks? However, when called upon he needs to be reliable.  Thus, see my first sentence.

Why?  We have two of the best receivers in the league and CMC is another great receiver.  Just get QB and OLine maybe pass rush and secondary, more urgent needs

We address this need in FA.  A weak TE class overall (except the top couple guys) and we need a player that can contribute immediately, especially if we draft a rookie QB.  We don't the rookie QB's security blanket requiring training wheels too.  More than enough serviceable guys in FA this year to meet that need and can be signed to reasonable contracts.

As long as joe Brady is in Carolina TE is not a position of high priority.. I love the TE position and would be super happy with pitts.. but seems like we are wasting our time till Brady is gone..

I wish he would have got hired as a head coach and kinda wish we would have never hired him. We don’t need a rotating coach for OC with a young team.
