I dont, but I can count.... Here I'll post Chad "SUPER Scumbag" Wheeler and what he did. They each had extreme DUIs and I dont see the same energy you had about Reid....hmmmmm They even killed people, but you know... weird huh?!?

Quote

On January 23, 2021, Wheeler was arrested in Kent, Washington, on domestic violence charges. He was charged with three counts of felony domestic violence and later released on $400,000 bail.[3][31] Wheeler said he would temporarily retire to "get his life together" after the incident.

Yep in the legal system it really does just come down to money. Money buys you representation and specialists. I see it everyday in my work.

Not to say free lawyers are always bad, in fact, depending on the situation they can the the best. But that’s the exception. In general, money=better outcome.

Rob seems to be a good father, but that may partially be why he’s not a great coach... All the best HCs have to put so much of their time and focus into football that it doesn’t really mesh with being a parent. Seems impossible to actually balance that.

@4Corners it won’t let me edit but I meant to say Ron, as in Ron Rivera...

I saw a GoFundMe page that's being circulated for the critically injured child's medical bills.

I don't know if it's a legit page as of yet though. Hopefully, it is real.

Britt Reid's insurance should be covering a lot if not all.  Then there will be a lawsuit...which there should be.

Dude this is a football board, nothing more, nothing less

It's a discussion board for fans of the Carolina Panthers. People talk about stuff. What food they're eating. Our next QB. Hot sauces. Things that are going on in our country and affect our countrymen. Get used to that.

https://www.yahoo.com/sports/chiefs-owe-more-than-thoughts-and-prayers-to-family-of-5-yearold-fighting-for-life-after-crash-with-britt-reid-184443680.html

Saw this on Yahoo...good read.  The 5 yr old has been in a coma since the accident.  Her mother is a single parent.

Questions where Britt Reid was drinking...Chief's facility??

    • I’m going with Nick Emmanwori as the pick right now. Charlie Campbell has him ranked 5th on his post combine big board and another safety is needed.
    • That is ridiculous on several levels. First of all you have to spend 90% of your cap space every year so the idea you can just not spend it every year is against the CBA. Secondly your job is to assemble the best team you can for the fans players and team. Not to save money for the owner.  Third many players who are considered great underperform while others like Luvu and Jackson have overperformed. What about a  great player like Derek Brown who was injured and missed all of last year. Was he a waste of money?? Sure pay DK a fools ransom and hope he stays healthy. He didn't even get 1000 yards last year which averages out to 60 yards a game or play all 16 games.  And lets be real, Jones and Watson aren't  great but they aren't being paid that much either. Real glad you aren't the GM.
    • Not necessarily, they very well could just be waiting on the players who will get cut in the coming weeks/months as cap casualties and wanting to have the cap room to be able to offer more than other teams (likely our best shot at finding immediate pass rushing help for next year at this point). Also wouldn't be the end of the world to try and roll some cap into next offseason to have more space to go after bigger FA's. That's a better move than signing guys who really won't help much more than whoever else we can get on minimum or rookie deals.
