Ok heres the problem. I live in a neighborhood with lots of feral cats running around. I have an outdoor pet cat that sleeps and eats on the deck. There is one feral cat that seems to have it out for her. Its a big black cat atleast twice her size.

It eats her food and tries to fight her all the time. Our metro animal control is as about useful as spoork is. Last year they set a trap without telling me right beside my house. So I was sitting there one night watching tv and kept hearing the meow. So I went outside and there was this big ass black feral cat in the cage.

It was mean as poo! It looked like it had won every fight it had gotten in to. So not knowing I let it out. Now this bastard is still roaming the neighborhood. I've witnessed this cat fighting other cats in the neighborhood. It's definitley a bully.

So I ask you. How can I get rid of this bastard? I live in the city so I can't really shoot it. Don't wont to poison it either. I was thinking about buying a .22cal air rifle with some premium hunting pellets. But I hate killing an animal that I'm not going to eat. Suggestions?

Well this was my first encounter with the cat. I had never seen it before. I had no idea metro was putting a cage next to my house. Also it was 10 degrees outside.

my dad used to have a problem with strays out in the country. he bought an air pistol for my brother and i to shoot them with. we used non-lethal ammo, but they still stopped coming around. same for the squirrels in the bird feeders.
