Does anyone disagree with this statement?

I disagree not with the notion that QB needs an upgrade (it absolutely does), but that those are the only options for 'success'. Call me optimistic but if the FO and staff feels another option/path not listed here is the right one, as long as action has been taken (ideally a clear step away from counting on Teddy as the unchallenged starter), I want to give the benefit of this specific doubt.

I think this is fair, but many of us are rightfully getting pretty damn antsy with the QB position, and I think it's an usual year where there are so many options available. 4 QBs in the draft who can be true franchise QBs and are worth a top 10 pick (which we have, hopefully, for the last time any time soon). Then very rare opportunities for veteran franchise QBs in Watson and Stafford, and maybe Rodgers or even Dak. I just don't think there's a better opportunity than now for us to get our franchise QB.

We all know Bridgewater isn’t the answer. But frankly the Panthers aren’t in a great position to move on from him. He has a $23m cap hit and no team will be jumping for joy to add him to their roster. Picking 8 in the first round,  there are a lot of QB hungry teams picking ahead of the Panthers.

So, I would not be surprised if the Panthers continue building the roster through the draft and be forced to roll with Bridgewater next season. Could we see someone like Darnold or Trubisky brought in to compete with Teddy? Definitely possible. But if they can draft as well as they did last year, the team will be better regardless.

Also agreed, but the added complication this year is that there are also a ton of teams who are openly QB-needy. It's a seller's market, and while that doesn't impact Carolina's specific need it does add a layer to.make sure they aren't mortgaging a still-developing future.

The Carolina Panthers need to get either Deshaun Watson, Matt Stafford, Aaron Rodgers, or a QB in the top 10 in this draft in the 2021 offseason for it to be a successful offseason.

Yes.

I've said all along if we can get any of the top 4 QBS in the draft without giving up more draft capital I would be happy.

    • If I’m putting myself in a team’s shoes - you’re looking at these prospects and Warren hits most boxes for a TE with a plus on most. So yeah, he’s a great prospect, no doubt, 1st round talent as a TE. But when I look at him through the lens of that PSU offense, they were running so much through him, I’m not so sure it was beneficial to seeing how he translates.  They were getting him open in the flat, running weird trick plays, and designed a lot of ways to find him on delayed seam routes and such. So a lot was structured around getting him the ball in creative ways to advance the ball, in steady sequences, methodically down the field.  Thing is, yeah he’s catching a ton, is big, and can block, but throw him into an NFL offense in a more traditional sense, he’s gonna be stickied by speedy LBs and big nickels. I just wonder how he is in a more isolated fashion— when he’s just a piece of a greater NFL offense getting shadowed by more talented defenders. I think it could still be great but I have question marks when it’s at the TE position. Will he look no different than other very solid TEs or is he this offensive centerpiece at the position that doesn’t come along often (Bowers, Gronk, Kelce, Witten, TG, etc)? I think he brings a ton and could be one of the safer TE prospects, but what I’m unsure about is if you’re really getting this new age Witten type people are crowning him as. Even if that’s the case, is that worth it? If he wasn’t in PSU’s Franklin/Allar offense, would you be seeing the same output?  More questions than anything - I could get on board with it, but it’s hard for me to really project because of how that offense was (which was so frustrating at times).
    • Twitter sources, but supposedly the Rams want him. He might actually go Round 1.
    • You aren't going to ever get him out of the equation. As he has stated previously, he believes it his right to make the final call on decisions.
