The final weeks down the stretch of the season Tepper and Rhule both kinda lost their patience with playing their cards close to the vest by trying to keep talking Teddy up. Both made comments strongly suggesting Teddy wasn't the guy.

I really wish we had played Walker or Grier. But then again we might have won another game.

Edit:The bottom pic is supposed to be the first one.

This is from Voth, so yes, I’d say getting a qb is going to happen. Doesn’t necessarily mean Watson, but one will be on the roster.

To me this means that the front office is trying to make a move and it’s going to be on HOU to say no.....I don’t think many people have said no to Tepper recently.

Reading between the lines this interview confirms what I thought - that a couple of candidates wanted a traditional GM role and were ruled out / ruled themselves out (Dodds/ Paton).

Sounds like Fitterer sold Tepper on his experience in working under a similar model - albeit not quite the same (yet).

I do wonder if Tepper also brought in a guy that Rhule wasn't familiar with because he didn't want Rhule to get too comfortable - especially in that three-way power structure.

I don't think he's ever been seen as 'the guy', besides by a certain bizarre portion of the fan base. He was signed as a steady QB to tide us over, who was young / talented enough to maybe become a long term answer.

Unfortunately for Bridgewater his play dropped off down the stretch, post injury, which obviously frustrated Rhule. I'd be shocked if he sees the third year of that contract.

I'd say that's reading into it a bit.

Voth isn't actually saying anything except that he thinks the picture is funny. He makes that clear in the response.

As in not even a decent stop gap bridge type of guy. I think the point of Teddy was to have a decent QB do we could take our time and not feel pressured. It backfired. We're not even hiding the reality that we're being pressured into making a move at QB. Honestly, it's relieving. You can't compete for championships in today's NFL without a legit franchise QB.

I took it as it’s possible. John Ellis has said the same thing on his twitter, something along the lines of it’s something to monitor.
