Stafford would be a huge upgrade over Bridgewater.

If they ask for a Day 3 pick, as it's essentially a salary dump while the new GM rebuilds their roster, I'm all over it.

The Bears gave up their compensatory 4th round pick for Foles.  I imagine Stafford could be had for our 3rd and 5th.

It's more reasonable for the Panthers to target Stafford. QB Coach connection, can flip Teddy to cover a significant part of the cap hit, Lions can take in Teddy and still save a little cap space, Teddy has the Saints connection with the new head coach.

Alex Smith trade is probably a reasonable gauge which was a 3rd and a player

Stanford is 32 and go like 8 more years in him.  I’d go for it and it won’t be 1st rounder I would think as Lions want to get rid of him.
