Mahomes has "no symptoms".

Per rapoport...

#Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes will have a very light practice today as part of his plan while in the NFL concussion protocol, source said. Could be listed as limited or DNP,  but his work will ramp up during the week. Mahomes, who has no symptoms, will do some tolerance tests, too.

Not sure I believe it.

They don’t have a chance without him. I’m sure the medical team there in Kansas City is doing a very thorough and clear investigation with Mahomes and his medical conditions.

The Chiefs' medical team has nothing to do with it, it's all going to come down to an independent neurological consultant who has every incentive to be as careful and thorough as possible and will have no incentive to clear Mahomes if he shouldn't be cleared.

I do never never seen his head hit anything, looked like he got choked more than anything. I was reading an article where they said that’s what they thought could have happened.

One angle of the replay showed Mahomes’ head hitting the ground. I could not tell if he was choked or not, but the defender who tackled Mahomes had some extracurricular activity going on.

The problem isn’t the experts it’s the player (see Cam). Players will bend the truth, they’re competitors and not going to side on the error of caution.

Medical professionals are not some magical superior beings, they’re humans. They cannot transform themselves to be other people. They base a lot of what they do on the responses the patient gives them. Exactly like our own doctors.

There is no way that was a choke out. The defender’s arm was around the neck for about a second, and the forearm was even resting against the bottom of Mahomes’ helmet, as opposed to being directly against the neck. If it was a “choke out,” it was the fastest “one side of the neck being affected with the arm not even being in contact with the neck at all” choke out I’ve ever seen. This entire “choke out” thing is an attempt for the NFL to get Mahomes out of the protocol and into the AFCCG.

    • I don't think Rodgers but probably not for the political reasons I bet a lot of posters are motivated by. I just think he is not the QB for the Panthers, at all.
    • Sun Devils just scored another TD on BYU, 14-0
    • It wasn't great but  the 2022 NYG won 9 of 16 games plus a playoff game. He had a 92.5 passer rating. 15 pass TDs 3200 yards, 7 rushing TD, 700 yards 6 fumbles 3 lost.  His first season he had 18 fumbles lost 11. Wow.  Anyhow he had problems in 2023 with injuries and didn't win poo before tearing his ACL. This year, no Barkley, not good, but you know.... these ACLs take a while and it was right and he throws right so pushes off of it.  I agree it doesn't hurt to let that guy compete cheap. You don't hand him the job like with Bryce or NYG with him.  When I look at what we have been saddled with, he doesn't look worse and has the physical advantage. So I don't get the umbrage given our situation. This "No we won't settle for anything less that the best" attitude and then taking Bryce Young was pathetic and I think that attitude brought us to where we are. That's where that poo gets you. Away from Mayfield, away from Darnold, even away from PJ - just to replace them with an inferior PJ.  At the same time I am not really advocating for the guy just looking at it objectively. It could be another guy with the same story. And yes the odds of him getting it are low but the numbers and performance from 2022 are for sure better than we see with Bryce even after a season of major propping him up with better players around him. Take a look don't take a look he fails or he doesn't fail...   to instead sit here and be happier with what we have is bullshit.
