Surprised Jacksonville is not on that list.  Jacksonville could get an established and proven young star, and the Texans could draft Trevor L or whomever they please.

I thought that at first but no chance Houston is trading Watson within in the division, even to get Lawrence...

People really need to stop with this narrative that Teddy would be a part of the deal. These other NFL teams saw him play too.

God pity that PR person. Yeah, I know we traded Deshaun Watson, but allow me to introduce... TEDDY BRIDGEWATER!!!!

Teddy could be included in the deal just for cap reasons, if the Texans would be fine taking 1 year of his contract to bridge a rookie they draft. But it definitely wouldn't add value to the trade for the Texans, and if anything we'd just have to add an extra mid/late round pick to get them to take the contract. If he wasn't traded to the Texans we'd have to find somewhere else to trade him. Couldn't fit both Watson and Teddy here.

How’s that different from:

I know we traded Deandre Hopkins but here’s David Johnson.

Or, I know we just mortgaged our future with two firsts and two seconds but here’s the soon to be highest paid OL Mr. Gas Mask Tunsil.

I know different guy but it can happen.

That said Watson has a no trade clause so he probably has a bit more to say about where he goes.

Because that was Bill O'Brien. That level of stupidity was expected, but still not believable. A new GM wouldn't be able to get away with the same.

The money ain't coming out of your pocket.  Why do u care?

This is the argument of a person with a very poor understanding of how things work.

Obviously the rough amount of salary payed to the roster is generally the the same. How you divide it up clearly matters as well. So the its not your pocket logic makes no sense.

Now you know

Yeah and again they don’t give a rats ass what you think.  If they decide it is worth it I doubt you will be consulted

    • "It’s a tricky spot for Cincinnati to be in—finding a team to give up a premium pick and $30 million (or more) per year for a 31-year-old pass rusher isn’t easy," Breer wrote. "Hendrickson’s camp at one point told the Bengals they could bring home a first-rounder for him, but that hasn’t happened." After Cleveland Browns edge-rusher Myles Garrett signed a four-year, $160 million extension—with an NFL-record $123 million in guaranteed money for a non-quarterback—Cincinnati's negotiations will only get more difficult. Despite posting back-to-back 17.5-sack campaigns, one of the biggest hurdles for Hendrickson will be his age, as he’s set to turn 31 next season.
    • "The asking price for Trey Hendrickson was also very high," Wolfe said on Wednesday. "The Bengals are asking for a first-round pick and more I was told and teams are waiting that out and hoping that that market drops a little bit when the Bengals come down and maybe they can get that top pass-rusher." https://bleacherreport.com/articles/25170132-trey-hendrickson-trade-rumors-bengals-seek-1st-round-nfl-draft-pick-more-deal
    • I mean, whoever the scout is in charge of knowing the Gamecocks.....clearly gets listened too.   Gotta give him credit for that.
