Unlike the NBA, small market teams in the NFL are doing just fine! In fact this years Super Bowl winner will be a small market team

Bills- 47th ranked

Kansas City- 27th ranked

Cleveland- 19th Ranked

Greenbay- 139 ranked

Tampa - 20th ranked

New Orleans- 51st ranked

Of comparison:

NY- 1st ranked

LA- 2 ranked

Chicago- 3rd

Washington- 4th

San Fran- 5th

Charlotte is 24th, below Pittsburgh but ahead of Cincy

What does all this mean? Have a good front office, good coaching, good ownership and the size of the market your team is in makes little to no difference to have a competitive football team

The hard cap in the NFL creates parity that the NBA and MLB can’t match. Small markets in the NBA and MLB can be competitive for short periods of time, but only until they are outbid by large market teams for the stars they’ve developed. It’s why the NFL is king.
