Never understood how Saints players talk so much noise considering they can't stop losing home playoff games. Just a weird sense of superiority, but I doubt they'll humble themselves after this

Brees was fine at the start of the season, but once he got hurt he hasn't been able to throw the ball down the field well and he didn't want to get hit.

Honestly, it's kind of a selfish move to say you are OK to play when you aren't.  Yeah you can beat the Panthers and the Bears, but you ran into trouble today.  Total douche move by Brees.
