old adage holds true, don't put yourself in a position to let the refs have a say in the outcome.

Nice acting job and the refs buy in combined with our "sleepy" play helped hand us the loss.

Oh I know. Incredibly frustrating game. The Hurricanes played terrible in the first 2 periods, AND gave up an own goal. They fought to tie it up and had a chance to get out of there with a tie/win only for the refs to call an egregious flop. Just frustrating.

Agreed, seems we've been doing this for 10 or so years!  Ugghhh.....
