Even Texans players are telling Deshaun Watson to get the hell out of Houston

Watt, Tunsil, Reid, Cummingham, Fuller, Cooks and Mercilus with other young up in comers. Check them out. They have more talent for sure, just about every position group Texans have the better player except RB(WR is tough one)... Check out the roster if you dont agree.

That isn't true. Watt was just average this year and won't be coming back, Cunningham led the league in missed tackles, Fuller won't be returning, and Mercilus was horrible all year. Besides Watson that roster is dreadful.

I agree.  He is on a team not much different from the talent level we have here and he is not winning.  Not his fault, but Teddy won more games here.

Any trade would cost us a ton of Draft picks, and it would increase our cap significantly.  Bye bye Moton, Samuel, and any free agents we could bring in.  So the situation here gets WORSE (and you put a very expensive QB behind an OL of scrubs and rookies.) You think he can win here when he could not win in Houston?  Nope.  Not a knock on Watson, but it is a knock on the team around him.

We need a rookie QB or go with TB and develop a rookie in 2021, while building the roster--OL and D (S, CB, MLB, DL).  In 2022, we have 3 years of a QB on a rookie deal.  There is where we make the run.

Maybe I am missing something, but brining in that contract when the cap is going to shrink is suicide.

I think Brady also took less money because he's smart and knew he couldn't keep winning rings if he was hogging the whole salary cap.

brady didn't take less money

the patriots were paying him under the table through his company TB12.

it's one of the worst kept secrets in the nfl

Watson was hoping to process his deep frustration, unhappy with the direction of the franchise that signed him to that nine-figure deal.

But it was a good idea to sign the contract. If you sell your soul to the devil, don't complain about the temperature.

In the slimmest of chances, Houston may want to keep Watson outside of the AFC. In that case Panthers would be players if Watson named them as the only NFC team hed join. Lots of IFs etc, plus the Pats where rurmored to sign Teddy. Their new GM could be a fan and take teddy back in a trade.....along with a load of picks.

This is the first time for me in the believer status, .0006704746828% chance... Just if we had some sort of OL, Id be on this dream cloud. People do know the Texans when 4-12 and had lots more talents than the panthers right??? right? That was with Watson having a career year too, team game... Watson can NOT cover the need for 25 players without early draft picks..

How do you figure the Texans have a lot more talent than the Panthers? Have you taken a glance at that roster lately?

O'Brien absolutely gutted that roster. He should've been stripped of GM duties the moment he even suggest trading one of the best WRs in the NFL for an aging RB years removed from his best play.

None of those people you mention are young and up and coming.

I agree it's not happening but until we improve at the QB position we aren't much better than a 5 win team and Watson is one of the three best quarterbacks in the world

Guess youd pick the panthers if they played last year? I think texans would easily beat the panthers 30-17, Cummingham also had 150+ tackles too, hes still better than Shaq. JJ watt was still a force, not DPOY, but still had a solid year. Reid is better than Burris/Boston, easy. AFC was the better conference by far. If not for the first four games(GREAT TEAMS), Texan would/shoulda/coulda been in the mix.

Yea I looked it over, still feel like they have more talent. As a super panthers fan, one of my abilities is Im able to take off the homer glasses and separate emotions.
