Lock Moton up, cut the dead weight (KK, Weatherly, etc.), then focus on the draft.

He needs to wait to cut KK as the way his contract is it would be a much better cap benefit to cut him post June 1. There's about 7+ million dollar more in savings as a post June 1st cut over the next two years vs prior. His first priority needs to be analyzing the roster and scouting.  Samir Suleiman can work on the contract for Moton as he's the contract and cap guy. Fitterer doesn't need to waste any time there.

In all seriousness:

Tag/Sign Moton

Designate KK as a post June 1 cut

Offer Samuel a fair deal, which he will decline to hit the open market, the question is will he get the money he is seeking? Last year Robby Anderson took SIGNIFICANTLY less than I expected. I know Curtis will test the open market but will he actually sign a mega deal is another question. The free agent WR class this year is very good. Top dollar money might dry up quick.

Evaluate the Guard position: Are Miller and/or Schofield worth bringing back? I suspect with how much turnover our line is due at least one will be back.

Evaluate the LT position. This is by far the hardest question this offseason if you assume our first rounder will be a QB. I don't think Okung has done enough to warrant anything over an average salary. Greg Little has gotten consistently worse somehow. Outside of that it's band aids that Cam dealt with his whole career. Further complicating this matter is if we do indeed trade up, our assets are going to dry up quickly. I think the most ideal scenario is try to sign Okung to a one year team friendly deal, to essentially boot this problem to next year. Next offseason would be addressing the LT and C position.

Attempt to trade Shaq Thompson, this likely won't happen but his value versus contract hit don't match up. I think we could talk Dave Gettleman into giving a pick up for him.

Re-sign Rasul Douglas to a team friendly 2 year prove it deal.

If we have a second rounder use it on OG/OT/C

Rounds 3-7 BPA out of UT, CB, LB and O line

I think Curtis is 50-50 to come back. The WR free agent market is loaded, and agreed about the Robby comparison. Unless some team (JAX) sees him as a WR1, I could just as easily see him back here later on in FA at a reasonable price.

I really hope we can find a way to lock up Moton, while still bringing back Samuel, Douglas & Miller. Everyone else can kick rocks.

Moton and the other pending FAs are the first order of business. FA comes before the draft. Gotta figure out who were keeping, who we're willing to let test the market, and who we're straight up parting ways with. Then look at the potential cap casualties and come up with your list of priority FAs to target on the market.

You don't have to wait.  Can do it in March, you just designate them as June 1st cut.

Maybe some extensions to create cap room.  has the cap been set for 2021?  I do nothing before knowing that.

Well at least there is one non-sarcastic post.

I would add to target 2 or 3 free agents that are stuck behind a pro bowl caliber player on another team.  ie. AJ Klein.   AJ has been a solid LB for New Orleans and Buffalo since getting out from behind Luke.

These players will not manage a massive contract but a cap friendly cost.
