This year Mitch, Jordan both admit they had no idea Lamelo would be this far ahead and he has a very robust squad, aside from the injuries this year, he's joined, scorers, all of them.

I think Mitch, now knowing they are a playoff contender, now knowing that all his starters well into the bench can each put up 20 and that he may have a Jordan/Kobe type of guard in Melo, can add a piece or two to compete for it all next year.

This year to the Hornets will be a blessing in disguise. Like I've said, Mitch can sell this team to present players close to re-up. Terry might stay. Zeller and Biz might want to stay for reasonable coin. Mitch can sell this team to key free agents in a way he couldn't before.

You may even see Jordan touch the luxury cap if he believes this is it. This is the squad, this is the time.

Yeah.. Terry needs to come back.. Biz and Zeller can hit the road.. we have to find a legit center on the market this offseason.. if we don't it will be Mitch's fault - and like i have said forever - in Mitch I trust..

Durant is back tonight for the Nets, who have the 2nd best record in conference.

Hornets are so injured, they decided to let Vernon Carey start and get a chance for some playing time.

He hits his first 4 shots for 9 points in the first half of the first quarter.  Hornets up early by as much as 14.

Won't last, but fun to watch right now.

Vernon earned the start after his big game...committed 2 fouls in 20 seconds and is on the bench.  McDaniels has six midway through the first quarter though, and Hornets up by 12.

Hornets lead by 18, amazing our well we start without so many of our starters and key reserves.  We just run out of gas in the 4th.

Give credit to our front office for finding depth, and our coaching for developing those young players.  Another sign that the future is bright.

just beat a playoff team with all the injuries noted above.  Hornets shot like their lives depended on it...47% from the floor, 41% from 3.  

And another "how do you do" dunk..

That Nurkic is a freaking mountain.   If we had a post player like that...

I picked the right game to attend. Terry was absolutely incredible in the first quarter, with he single-handedly out-scored the Blazers in the first 10 minutes, 17-16, and nearly finished with a triple double. This was a must-win for the Hornets and we got it done. 

Miles’ jam just before the half got me off my feet.
