Panthers more likely to trade down now?

This has been my exact Madden strategy for years.

Trade down as much as possible, draft as much potential as possible, and pay as little as possible. Sign all of them to max years with no bonus to be cut at any time.

When there rookie contract is in its final year, trade them for more picks.

Rinse, repeat.

Draft is gonna be mad unpredictable with this new GM.  The Seahawks are unconventional player evaluators.  It's had some decent results though.  The war zoom room is gonna be interesting.  I would love to see big board and position ranking right before the draft.   I could definitely see a trade down.

One benefit of trading down is collecting enough picks to use some of them on the more overlooked positions--if you look at the Seahawks' drafts over the last few years, they've done well drafting the "non-premium" positions on days 2 and 3--there are a lot of good safeties and interior linemen on both sides of the ball. Looks like a great antidote to our perpetual depth issues.

Maybe, it depends on who the catalyst for Seattle trading down was. Did Fitterer dive that strategy? Did he go along as it was driven by those above him? We'll see.

Certainly his experience influenced him but it's not like anyone things Beane in Buffalo GMs like Hurney or Gettleman.

If there isn't a QB that we are truly confident in at #8 then I have even said we should trade back a little and pick up an extra pick or two and start plugging these gaps we have on the OL and secondary.

It pains me to say it, but we may just have another year of Teddy Three Thumbs at QB....unless we get creative.

I’d rather trade for Mariotta
