Just to add- Seattle was the team Herniay traded with, most where always Seattle trading down and Hernisy getting his "guy". Id love to hear Fitts honest side of those trades...

I believe they made about 4 trades...

Yeah they moved quickly on him once they talked to him Sunday, plus I think he was the last person they setup a in-person 2nd interview with, so had a feeling that the last one probably wasn't going to leave the building

Huh? Tell me which years after 2012 you’d define as strong. I’m being serious. I think their drafting lately has been awful. A couple years after 2012 with 2 good starters. Last 4 first round picks are Brooks, Collier, Penny and Ifedi. That’s terrible.

also, from rotoworld. Good point about Carroll and Ruhle, althought Carroll obviously had nfl experience.

 

Panthers hired Seahawks VP of football operations Scott Fitterer as general manager.

With the Seahawks since 2001, Fitterer just completed his sixth season as VP of football operations. Something of an annual candidate on the interview circuit, Fitterer had never find the right fit to leave Seattle. Fitterer has a background in both college scouting and pro personnel, but he is most known for his work on the college side. A survivor of three head coaches and a handful of front offices in Seattle, Fitterer will be tasked with furthering ex-college coach Matt Rhule's NFL evolution, something he has experience with from working with Pete Carroll.

Originally joining the Seahawks’ staff on June 25, 2001, as an
area scout, he recently served 2011-14 as the club’s director of college
scouting. In his current role, Fitterer works collaboratively with Trent
Kirchner in directing both the college scouting and pro personnel departments
to manage and strengthen all aspects of the Seahawks
roster. As the director of college scouting he coordinated the Seahawks’
entire scouting operation and compiled all of the college scouting
information required to set the draft board. He is responsible for

with Seattle's drafting history and where they got Wilson in the draft, there's a concern that it's indicative of an operating philosophy
